Finding the Item – Good Thing I Remembered
The old lady tapped her fingers against her chair, grinning.
"Something precious. Something lost. Something… old."
She was being cryptic as hell, but I already knew what she wanted.
In the game, she always asked for the same thing—a rusty pendant hidden in a forgotten graveyard outside the city.
I sighed. "Yeah, yeah. I got it."
Her eyes widened. "Oh? So quick? Most folk wander for weeks!"
I shrugged. "I'm just built different."
She let out a raspy cackle.
"Go on, then, boy! Bring it to me!"

Retrieving the Pendant
I left the city under the cover of darkness, heading toward the graveyard.
It wasn't far, but the place had a bad reputation.
Rumors of undead monsters lurking beneath the soil.
Creepy whispers at night.
The usual ominous bullsh*t.
But honestly? I didn't care.
After everything I'd been through, some cursed graveyard didn't scare me.
I walked through the overgrown tombstones, heading straight for an old, cracked gravestone near the center.
And just as I remembered—there it was.
A small, rusted pendant, half-buried in the dirt.
I picked it up, brushing off the dust. "Well, that was easy."
No ghosts. No monsters. Just a quick grab-and-go.
For once, things actually went smoothly.

Trading for Information
I returned to the old lady's house and tossed the pendant onto her table.
"Here. Now talk."
She picked it up with trembling fingers, her eyes glimmering with something unreadable.
Then she grinned.
"Hohhh~ You really found it, boy! You must be one lucky bastard!"
I smirked. "You have no idea."
She traced the pendant's edges before tucking it away.
Then she looked up at me, her gaze sharp.
"So. What is it you wish to know?"
I leaned forward.
"The cave. The one filled with old monster experiments. Where is it?"
Her grin widened. "Ahhh. That place."
She leaned back in her chair, nodding to herself.
"It lies west of town, hidden behind a crumbling shrine. Few go there, and fewer return."
I raised an eyebrow. "Because of the monsters?"
She shook her head.
"No. Because it is cursed."
I sighed. "Of course it is."
She let out another cackle.
"Go if you must, boy! But be warned—some things are meant to stay buried."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll take my chances."
I turned and left without another word.

Reaching the Cave
Following the old lady's directions, I rode west until I found the shrine.
It was exactly as she described—old, broken, and half-forgotten.
Behind it, a hidden pathway led downward, into the darkness.
I stepped inside, letting my eyes adjust.
The air was thick with dust and decay.
The deeper I went, the colder it became.
And then—
I spotted someone.
A girl.
She stood near a stone pillar, holding a lantern, studying the walls.
She had short, messy brown hair, a scarf wrapped around her neck, and a belt filled with tools.
An explorer?
Or maybe… a treasure hunter.
Either way—she wasn't supposed to be here.
I narrowed my eyes.
"Great. Just what I needed. A f*cking rival."
