A Deadly Pursuit

Ada tried to change Ruby's mind, "My car is in the underground garage. Let me drive you home!" Afraid that Eldwin would be impatient and snap Ada's neck, Ruby quickly got into his car and said,"Let's drive.

The car was started as soon as she finished, leaving Ada behind. Worrying about her friend, Ada took out her mobile phone and texted, "Ruby, call me if you encounter any danger."

The car was running on the busy streets. Ruby looked at the message and felt touched. Ada was like a family to her, and she must protect Ada in this life.

"If I want to hurt you, it won't help even if you call her a thousand times," said Eldwin in a deep and pleasant voice that was like the sound of the cello. The contempt in his tone made Ruby unhappy.

Ruby bit her lip and muttered in a low voice, "I would call the police to arrest you." "Well, you can try," Eldwin responded with a sneer.

Sanders' lips twitched as he heard that in the driver's seat. He wondered if the girl would still say something so funny if she knew what had happened not long ago.

A large group of police officers had humbly bowed to Eldwin, but Eldwin had snapped at them, saying that if they didn't stay out of his business, he would bury them with his enemies.

"Ouch!" Suddenly, Eldwin grabbed Ruby's injured hand and pulled the stone embedded in it, causing Ruby to scream in surprise and pain. Eldwin's ears ached from the scream, and he shot a cold glance at her. Ruby shuddered in fear and quickly covered her mouth to stop making a sound.

When she met Eldwin's eyes, she was worried that this man would lash out and kill her. However, Eldwin was not as scary as she'd thought. He gently pressed the handkerchief on her wound to stop the bleeding.

Ruby was stunned, staring blankly at the man who was pressing the wound for her. Because she just woke up not long ago, she was still weak and her eyes were slightly red. The pain in the hand just now made her tears well up. They were just rolling in her eyes but did not fall off.

She was like a frightened rabbit, looking pitiful and adorable. At the moment when Eldwin looked up, he met those eyes. For a moment, his heart jumped so hard that he panicked. The strange feeling made him uncomfortable, and he wanted to open the window to get some air.

However, it was dark and cold outside, and this girl would definitely catch a cold if he let the wind in. Eldwin, who had always been cold-blooded, was worried about Ruby for no reason. He was no longer a child, and he had been in love before. So, he knew what his racing heartbeat meant - It was the feeling of falling in love at first sight. This was ridiculous!

It was the third time that they had met, but why did he have such strong feelings this time? He gasped with his mouth open, trying to calm himself down. Hearing his weird gasps, Sanders asked, "Are you alright?"

Ruby looked up and happened to meet Eldwin's eyes. Their gazes seemed to be glued to each other instantly.

Eldwin was attracted to Ruby's watery eyes, feeling itchy in his heart because of the tears inside. Ruby felt like she was about to be dragged into the abyss of his deep eyes, and she flinched. She wanted to turn her face away.

However, Eldwin grabbed her cheek and forced her to face him. Feeling the soft touch in his hand, Eldwin gently tightened his grip and then loosened it. He repeated this a few times.

He felt that this girl's face was soft. And it was so small, even smaller than his hand.

Being squeezed by his hand repeatedly, Ruby didn't mind at all. Because it didn't hurt and it felt warm.

She stared at his pretty blue eyes, which were sparkling, as bright as the Milky Way. There seemed to be a vortex in the Milky Way and Ruby was nearly sucked into his eyes. For the first time, she realized that a man could be so delicate and handsome.

The man's biggest charm wasn't his pretty face, but the way he treated her. He was gentle and cautious, as if he was afraid of hurting her. She had never found this kind of feeling from Travon.

Her cheeks were burning, and she knew they must be pretty red now. She tried to turn her face away again, but the hand on her cheek wouldn't allow her to do so. They looked at each other, ignoring everything else. They had even forgotten the existence of the person driving.

Sanders looked at them in the rearview mirror, swallowed hard, and bit his tongue.

It hurt! It hurt a lot! It was great that it hurt!

The pain proved that he was not dreaming. His young master was really staring at a girl. After that incident, Eldwin once had the idea of marrying his work and spending the rest of his life alone.

But now, Eldwin found his new love, and Sanders was happy for him. Sanders was the silent and inward type. He didn't like to show his emotions, and he could be so quiet that sometimes you didn't even know he was there. Just like now, he was very happy, but he was still wearing an expressionless face.

Sanders was about to take a turn and get on the highway.

Suddenly, a car came out from the front and blocked their way. Sanders stepped on the brake and turned the steering wheel to narrowly avoid the car. Eldwin had been used to this. He stabilized his body and supported Ruby, who was swaying left and right.

As she swayed, the tears in her eyes suddenly fell on the back of Eldwin's hand.

What a shame! Eldwin was a man with OCD and wouldn't tolerate any dust on his leather shoes. But when the teardrop touched his skin, he didn't feel disgusted, but pity. This teardrop was more beautiful than the pearl in the sea. When it was in her eyes, it made him feel itchy.

He hadn't got enough of that itchy feeling yet, but the tears fell off. It's all the rushing car's fault! D*mn it! Eldwin's gentle eyes instantly became sharp, and he was angry.

He had noticed that a few cars were chasing after them. It seemed that this was a premeditated attack.

"Sanders, drive to somewhere secluded and kill these people!" said Eldwin in a flat tone, as if he was giving an order to kill the fish. It was the first time that Ruby had experienced something like this, and she felt numb all over in fear. Kill these people. The man beside her was talking about killing people!
