A Dance Of Trust

Ruby stopped trembling. She leaned in Eldwin's arms and stared blankly at his Adam's apple. She didn't even hear what he just said. When Eldwin spoke, his Adam's apple moved, and for some reason, Ruby licked her lips.

"Do you want to touch it?"

Suddenly, she heard Eldwin's mumble cheerfully. Before she responded, he had pulled her hand to touch his neck.

"Mr. Dudley!"

Sanders shouted as he stared at the rearview mirror. How could Eldwin allow a girl to touch his neck? What if the girl tried to kill him?

She could slice his throat right now.

Even if the girl meant no harm to him, he couldn't do that.

The Adam's apple was the most sensitive and fatal spot of a man. Before Ruby could feel anything, she was startled by Sanders' voice and tried to withdraw her hand.

But Eldwin pressed her hand against his neck.

"You can touch it."

Ruby had no mood to stroke it. But when she touched his Adam's apple, she still felt the man's skin and uneven touch. No one knew that when her cold hand touched his Adam's apple, Eldwin's hair stood on end.

Looking down at the girl who was as pure as an angel, Eldwin couldn't help but curse in a low voice, "Damn it!" Why did he trust her so much? Why did he like her so much? Eldwin always felt that falling in love at first sight was nonsense.

But somehow, God arranged for him to fall in love with her the third time they met. Did God do that to compensate for his lonely life in the past years?

Since it was God's will, he would accept it. Anyway, he needed Ruby, and Ruby needed his help. Also, he happened to like her! Eldwin, who had always been confident, thought keeping her by his side would not be difficult.

He had no idea that he would be slapped in the face by his own words in the near future.

Ruby was the most difficult woman to keep in the world! When Ruby heard Eldwin curse, she thought that he was cursing at her, so she froze timidly.

She looked up at Eldwin's chin cautiously from time to time, thinking that the man was strange. He gently told her that she could touch him, but when she did, he cursed at her. Also, while wanting to kill some people, he was afraid that driving too fast would hurt others. Did this man realize that he was contradictory?

Speaking of contradiction, Ruby thought of someone who was more contradictory than Eldwin. That person was Travon! Eldwin and Travon were both contradictory, but there was a difference between them.

Eldwin was capricious, but he never tried to hide it from others, which made his contradiction somewhat decent in a sense.

What's more, his contradiction contained a kind-hearted side. What about Travon?

He always kept his emotions to himself and hid his vicious intention behind his gentle disguise. Eldwin never tried to hide his true self, while Travon had to cautiously protect his secrets all the time. Compared with Eldwin, Travon was like a rat hiding in the dark

sewer.

Ruby sneered with mockery when she thought of Travon's face. She was not only mocking Travon but also herself.

Before her rebirth, she was blind and married a "rat"! Ruby was so focused on her hatred that she didn't realize Eldwin was staring at her face.

Eldwin was curious and wanted to ask her what she was thinking and why she would have that look on her face. This conceited man believed that she must be sneering because of him. Right now, he didn't have time to ask. Listening to the noise outside, he knew that the five military warcraft had arrived.

"Sanders, pull over."

Sanders stopped the car, without worrying about his own safety at all. Ruby followed the noise and looked out of the window. Oh, my God! There were five aircraft! Were they helicopters?

They were different from commercial planes and ordinary helicopters. The five aircraft were hovering in the air, and Ruby looked sideways at Eldwin. Seeing him smiling, she figured, 'Are these aircraft his?' The next moment, her suspicion was confirmed, because Eldwin said to Sanders,

"Turn on the satellite communication system."

Sanders tapped on the navigation screen, and a digital password pad with random letters appeared on the screen immediately.

He turned around to fix his gaze on Ruby. She understood what he wanted and closed her eyes.

'Smart woman.'

With that thought, Sanders turned his eyes away from her and typed the password to turn on the satellite communication system.

The next second, Eldwin ordered,

"All five warcraft, fly towards the vehicles behind us. Drive them away, but don't fire at them."

Five warcrafts followed the order and approached the cars behind. Eldwin leisurely leaned back on the seat, laughing arrogantly. He indeed had reasons to be arrogant. At this time, Sanders finally realized what Eldwin wanted to do.

He wanted to force the enemy to leave instead of killing them. Why? Was he afraid that a gunfight would scare Ruby? This time, he was right. That was exactly what Eldwin thought.

Ruby was very curious about Eldwin now. After opening her eyes, she had been guessing Eldwin's identity. What kind of person could have such a powerful aura?

Who could summon so many aircraft?

She wanted to ask him, but Eldwin had told her that if she wanted to know his identity, she should be his woman and figure it out by herself. She took a curious look at him and happened to be caught by Eldwin.

When Eldwin looked at her, his smile was harmless and bright. It was difficult for her to connect him with the horrible guy just now. But they were the same person.

Eldwin showed Ruby his gentle side on purpose. In this way, he was telling Ruby that she did not have to be scared of him. Eldwin liked the way she stared at him. Her eyes were pure and focused, unlike the lecherous looks of other women, which made him disgusted.

Suddenly, Eldwin fantasied about Ruby looking at him with affection in those pure eyes. It must be wonderful. He unbuttoned the top three buttons of his shirt to show his sexy collarbone and part of the chest. Then, he bit his lips, making himself look as charming as he could.
