We Are Top 5, I am Proud all of you!
---
The room she pulled me into was cramped. A single shelf of cleaning supplies took up most of the space, leaving barely any room for us to stand without being pressed together. Toga didn't seem to mind. If anything, she leaned closer. "You didn't answer my texts."
I leaned against the shelf. "I was busy."
She twirled a lock of her hair. "Too busy for me?"
I glanced at her. "I am talking to you now, aren't I?"
She hummed, tilting her head. "That is true. But I like it when you pay attention to me." Her fingers brushed against my chest. "I get lonely."
I caught her hand before she could get any further. "You are a menace."
She grinned. "You say that like it is a bad thing."
I didn't bother responding. She would twist whatever I said into whatever the hell she wanted anyway. Instead, I just stared at her, waiting.
She let her fingers slide out of my grip and trailed them up my arm. "Are you gonna kiss me again, or am I gonna have to start breaking things?"
I snorted. "You are too dramatic."
"And you like it." She tugged at my hoodie, closing the last bit of space between us. "C'mon, Ryuu~ I waited so long."
I could smell the faint traces of blood on her, even through whatever perfume she had doused herself in. Her pupils were blown wide, that same obsession burning behind them.
I should have pulled away. Should have walked out.
Instead, I grabbed her chin and kissed her.
She made a sound, something between a sigh and a hum, like she had been waiting for this since the last time. Her fingers curled into my hoodie, clinging like she expected me to disappear if she let go. I could feel her grin against my lips.
Then she bit me.
I grabbed Toga by the back of her collar and yanked her off me. She giggled, not even fazed, her lips slightly red where she had bitten down. "Aww, Ryuu, you taste so-"
I turned her around, twisted her arms behind her back, and pressed her into the door. "I warned you."
She gasped dramatically. "Oh no~ Whatever will I do? Held down by the strong, scary Ryuu Midoriya-"
I lifted her skirt and slapped her ass. Hard.
She let out a sharp yelp, body jerking against me. Then she giggled, breathless. "Ohhh, Ryuu~ You really know how to make a girl feel special!"
I ignored her, keeping her pinned. "You keep playing, and I will leave you here alone."
Her body trembled slightly, but it wasn't fear…it was excitement. "You wouldn't," she whispered, but her voice had a slight edge to it, like she wasn't entirely sure.
I leaned in, lips near her ear. "Try me."
Her breath hitched, the teasing lilt in her voice faltering for the first time. She twisted her head just enough to look at me, eyes burning. "You are so cruel, Ryuu," she murmured.
I let go of her arms, stepping back. "Don't pretend it doesn't get you wet."
She turned, rubbing her wrists, a pout forming. "You should've left me pinned a little longer."
I rolled my eyes.
Toga suddenly lunged, grabbing my hoodie to yank me down into another kiss. This time, she didn't bite… probably realized I would actually walk out if she did. Instead, she pressed hard, nails digging into my chest through the fabric, her whole body flush against mine.
Her lips moved, hungry, demanding. I let her take the lead for a second before flipping the dynamic, pushing her back into the door again. She let out a soft noise against my mouth, half surprise, half approval.
"Pushy," she breathed when I finally pulled back for air.
"You are asking for it."
She grinned. "I do~"
I grabbed her jaw, tilting her head up, my thumb pressing lightly against her chin. She shivered, her hands fisting in my hoodie. Her tongue darted out, licking her lips.
"You are so mean," she whispered.
"And you are a pain in the ass."
She giggled, leaning up again, but I stopped her with a hand on her shoulder. Her eyes flicked up, questioning, but she didn't pull away.
"Ryuu?"
I stared at her for a second. "Why me?"
She blinked. "Huh?"
I gestured vaguely. "You could obsess over anyone. So why me?"
Toga tilted her head, something flickering behind her eyes. "Because you get me," she said simply.
I scoffed. "I barely tolerate you."
She grinned. "Exactly. You don't pretend. You don't try to fix me. You don't lie about who you are or what you want. You are real."
I didn't say anything.
She traced a finger over my chest. "And when I see you fight, when I see you bleed-" Her breath hitched slightly. "It makes me feel alive."
I grabbed her wrist before she got any further. "Toga."
She looked up, smiling softly. "What?"
I searched her face, looking for something… anything. But all I saw was certainty.
I sighed, shaking my head. "You are hopeless."
She beamed. "You like me anyway. Like this. Like me."
I didn't answer.
Instead, I kissed her again.
This time, it wasn't rushed. It wasn't desperate. It was slow, deep, and consuming. She melted against me, arms wrapping around my neck, pulling me in like she never wanted to let go.
She pressed closer, breath warm, eyes searching mine. "I want you, Ryuu."
I flicked her forehead. She flinched, pouting, but before she could whine, I grabbed her chin and kissed her again. Slow this time. To remind her that I wasn't running, that I wasn't ignoring what she was saying… just making sure she knew what she was asking.
Toga grinned against my lips, hands tightening in my hoodie like she was daring me to keep going. I pulled away, brushing my thumb over her jaw. "Let's go."
Toga let out a small whine. "We just got started."
I grabbed her hand and walked out of the supply closet, dragging her behind me before she got any more ideas. She sighed dramatically but didn't fight it, letting herself be pulled along.
"Ryuu, you are no fun," she muttered, squeezing my hand.
"You are too much fun," I shot back.
She giggled, pressing her cheek against my shoulder. "That is why we are perfect together."
I rolled my eyes but didn't bother arguing. It was easier that way.
We slipped out of the arcade without much fuss. I kept my hood low and face shielded with a medical mask. Commission would fry me if they caught wind of this. She stuck close, still holding my hand, fingers laced like this was just another date instead of an information exchange with a certified psychopath. We walked through the city, past neon lights and scattered groups of people who didn't give a shit about anything but their own business.
Toga swung our hands between us. "So, did you miss me?"
"No."
She gasped, clutching her chest with her free hand. "You wound me!"
I shrugged. "You will live."
She hummed, kicking a loose pebble. "You never ask if I miss you."
I side-eyed her. "I already know the answer."
She grinned. "You do."
I clicked my tongue and kept walking. "Back to business. You said Dabi is setting up side projects. What kind?"
Toga sighed. "Ugh, so serious."
"Toga."
She giggled. "Fine, fine. He has been talking to people outside the League. Not just small-time villains, either. Big ones. Underground names even I have not heard of."
That was new. "What is Shigaraki doing about it?"
She swayed as she walked, pretending to think. "Mmmm… watching, mostly. He does not trust him, but he is not stopping him either."
"He is using him."
Toga nodded. "Probably."
"Anything else?"
She hummed. "Not for free."
I stopped walking. She took two steps before realizing and turned, tilting her head.
"Toga."
She grinned. "Yes, Ryuu?"
"Out with it."
She tapped her chin. "You really do not want to give me something first?"
I raised an eyebrow. "You want me to dig a hole for you?"
Her face lit up. "Ooooh, Ryuu! Are you finally asking me to live with you?"
I sighed. "Toga."
She pouted. "Fine, fine. Shigaraki has been getting real twitchy lately. More than usual. Something is up. I do not know what, but if I had to guess?" She leaned in, voice dropping slightly. "He is waiting for All for One."
I frowned. "He is deep in Tartarus, busy picking up soaps."
Toga twirled a lock of hair around her finger. "Mmm. For now."
I exhaled, glancing around. "Shigaraki is not stupid. He knows breaking into Tartarus isn't some casual weekend plan."
She rocked on her heels. "That is why it will be fun~."
I ignored that. "How sure are you?"
Toga tilted her head. "Oh, Ryuu, I know you don't trust me, but I am not dumb. He is getting antsy. Restless. Even the others are starting to notice. Something big is coming."
I clicked my tongue. "When?"
She shrugged. "Dunno. But soon."
That wasn't helpful, but it wasn't surprising either.
Toga's gaze flicked up to me, something curious behind her usual amusement. "You are not asking how I feel about it."
I scoffed. "What, you want me to hold your hand and talk about your feelings?"
She grinned. "Would you?"
I chuckled, "Maybe."
Toga's grin widened like I just given her permission to start chaos. "Ooooh, Ryuu~ That almost sounded sweet. Are you finally warming up to me?"
I rolled my shoulders. "I would say barely putting up with it, is more accurate."
She giggled, lacing her fingers behind her back as she leaned forward. "Mmm, I will take what I can get~!"
I glanced at the streetlights flickering overhead. "You are staying with them for now?"
Toga hummed. "Mhm! But you know me, Ryuu. I like to wander~" She spun on her heel, arms swinging, before turning back to face me. "Are you worried about me?"
I exhaled. "No."
She pouted. "Liar."
I clicked my tongue. "Go back before they realize you are gone."
She watched me for a second, then smirked. "You should let me visit U.A. sometime. We could sneak around, have fun~"
"You set foot on campus, and Aizawa will put you in a body bag."
Toga laughed. "Ooooh, so possessive! You don't want them to have me?"
I didn't answer. Just turned to leave. Only to stop when I saw smoke.
