Bat to the Future: The Other Midoriya
A My Hero Academia Fanfiction
Izuku Midoriya was born quirkless. So was I.
The difference? While he spent his childhood crying into his pillow and writing love letters to All Might, I spent mine getting my ass kicked and learning how to return the favor.
Adopted by Inko Midoriya after my mom passed, I grew up as Izuku’s louder, meaner, infinitely more attractive stepbrother. He wanted to be a hero. I just wanted people to shut the hell up about quirks and let me crack heads in peace.
But the world doesn’t work that way. So I adapted.
And by adapted, I mean I stared fate dead in the eyes, flipped it off, and broke the system. Literally.
One dangerously impulsive, borderline illegal decision later, I unlocked something better than a quirk—a System that lets me break my own limits. My strength, speed, intelligence—it all skyrockets every time I push myself. The catch? If I ever deactivate it, I get hit with every side effect at once.
So I never turn it off.
Now, I’ve got stats that shouldn’t exist, skills that shouldn’t be legal, and a steel bat that’s ruined more lives than student loans. The pros hate me. The villains hate me. Bakugo really hates me.
Between dodging Boom Boom Bitch’s tantrums, robbing villains of their dignity, and giving the Hero Commission stress-induced ulcers, I’m out here rewriting the rules and making an absolute mess of the system.
They wanted another hero? Too bad.
They got me instead.

Perfect for fans of:
- An MC who fights like he found out the world owes him money
- Power systems with loopholes so broken they should be patched
- Fights that make Batman’s ‘no-kill rule’ look like a suggestion
- People getting verbally, emotionally, and physically demolished
-Serious moments immediately ruined by sarcasm, insults, and violence
This isn’t a hero story.
This is a tax fraud case waiting to happen.
And I’m just getting started.

No greater feeling than cheating the system.
Goldmine found? I’ll let this piece of meat marinate and ripen for the future.
i just read the synopsis havent even read the first chapter but im already hype for this novel honesyly author if the chapters are even half as good as that synopsis youve just gotten a fan for life
Gud Shit Stand pround you can cook ....
apart from the shit with mount lady that we dont talk about this is pretty funny
The story is not completely bad, it's just not for me. Comedy is good at first but gets repetitive and tiring later. Some of the mcs actions seem especially designed to annoy readers. Sometimes, it's just too over the top. The system is also bad. Sure, having it Crack jokes might be funny, but the whole quest model is based on the mc getting a random mission to gain xp.
If I had to describe this in two words, it'd be "Chaotic fun." everything from writing Quality to Character Design is amazing The characters and conversations feel more alive and REAL. Amazing work! The only reason why this isn't a 5-star is not even the story's fault; it's just me hating on the MHA world setup. Thanks for the masterpiece author
So I came looking for copper, but instead I came while reading this story. 10/10 would meme stain again. For those scouting the comments, yes, this stuff is quality. Go and read it.
The Jokes: Peak The Dialogue: Realistic The System: Sassy Looking for copper: Struck gold This fanfic of My Hero Academia is hilarious and I loved the chemistry between Ryuu and everyone else in Izuku's life. Ryuu's charisma and banter/thinly veiled insults are well contrasted with his poorly concealed studious nature. Usually, authors make 'the funny guy' spouting jokes at every conceivable moment, but Ryuu is serious and strategic when he needs to be. I also like his older brother mentality where only he is 'allowed' to bully Izuku. Only 20 chapters in and I've loved every bit so far. Also, the jokes in this novel have about the same tone as one I read a while ago called "How To Raise Your Regressor" by Anit666, so if you liked that, you'll probably like this.
Couldn’t stop laughing at some parts great job. M.
That's one hell of a cover art you have got there! The most liked comment also says that the MC cheats the system, so I'm already hyped. Plu,s a lot of people are recommending this!
Been a while since I did a proper review, so here goes nothing: Plot: 4.2 Characters: 4.1 Pacing: 4.8 Romance: 3 Keeping it short and sweet, this is fanfiction brimming with chaotic creativity. If its purpose is to make you grin and wheeze, then it succeeds spectacularly. Writing is fantastic, grammar is on point. Sentences flow clearly and there is lovely consistency that has you absorbed into the story. The plot follows along with the canon storyline, except there is now a wildcard in the form of Izuku having a step-bro. Said step-bro is the actual MC of the story and feels like the love child of Spiderman and Deadpool. The premise of the story is pretty straightforward: What would happen if there was a chaotic yet absurdly heroic disaster thrown into the MHA-verse. The answer is a myriad of absolutely hilarious shenanigans. The kind that has you grinning for extended periods of time to the point that your cheeks hurt; the kind that makes you actually laugh at the sheer absurdity resulting from the author's ingenuity. The comedy is top-notch, the action kicks hard, and the characters grow on you pretty well. The pacing is pretty well-done. Nothing feels like it was rushed too much or dragged out. very well balanced. The only con I had with the entire story was the inconsistency of the MC's intents and actions towards the various love interests(?). Think of a harem anime protagonist, except he has a ball (yes, not a pair, just one). Hopefully future chapters will address this one way or another. Aside from that, this is an absolutely great read. Fully recommend it. Heck, I'd say it's one of the best MHA fanfictions you could ever read. That's all. Kudos to the author for writing this amazing work.
funniest thing i have read in a long while, good character developments, the mc is op but not too op,
the only question i have. is this harem? i have read 51 ch and it's getting a bit weird. If it's harem can u just put the tag?
read up to chapter 27.... well story is good and all.... writing is also good...it's got great comedy but just felt boring by chapter 27.... couldn't really find something to look forward to in the future chapters give it try, maybe you guys will like it ... thanks for ride author
