Danmachi: Is It Wrong to Be the Main Character in Orario?

Hey everyone! Translator PinkSnake here! All good? This is my new Danmachi translation project, and I’ve got a few important notes about both the story and the translation. About the story: I found it really fun and very much in line with the Danmachi atmosphere, but with a “new” Bell as the protagonist. The system is based on Craft Essences from FGO. I made sure to translate everything carefully so you can understand the items being referenced as Craft Essence Gacha rewards. But honestly? I don’t think you need to have played FGO to follow along. That said, if you do like FGO, I think you’ll really enjoy those parts too. About the translation: As far as I know, there isn’t any active translation of this story out there. However, I have seen another story that I believe is more like a “fanfic/translation” hybrid. You know the type? Where the author uses an existing story or translation as a base and starts creating original content from there. I’m not making any judgments on that, just letting you know — this one is a direct translation. So if you notice narrative elements similar to the fanfic “Danmachi: I Have A Type-Moon Gacha System!”, just keep in mind that this isn’t the same story. I think I read this fanfiction quite some time ago with the help of some translators. in the raws, it had around 900 chapters if I were not wrong. This is genuinely one of the few good Chinese fanfiction. Although I was only able to read around 500 of so chapters due to not finding the rest of the chapters or poor transactions but still the story itself was good, it was a great experience.👍

I'm just gonna comment no hard feelings just curiousity and exasperation like how many times did I see dis siris for with different title never getting done and dropped early bruh just saying

These one star reviews are ridiculous he’s stated since the very beginning he doesn’t want other familia members and why. This story is really good I get that most people are gooners on here but surprisingly someone doesn’t need to be in your familia to have relationships with the mc. Thankfully this isn’t a Pokemon catcher harem and is actually decent. Honestly I wouldn’t even call it a harem yet since there’s been little to nothing but straight adventuring which is great.

These one star reviews are ridiculous honestly. Most of these guys want instant gratification and immediate power. I understand why they are mad he gives up someone in the story that he wouldn’t have had to in the original but by no means with his abilities does he need them and it adds to the story’s realism way more. I 100% recommend this story it starts out alittle ruff but gets way better.

Honestly, this fanfic is a good translation, we have a cautious protagonist, who hides his power, and doesn't act like the normal Chinaman we've all seen in fanfics. But other than that, he's a complete disaster, he gives Haruhime a trump card, someone who can support by practically raising an entire level for another family, he does the same with another very powerful character who has visions of the future, if even the Original Bell managed to get these characters as allies for his family, why not him? Mainly because he's much stronger. Another thing, despite being a Chinaman, he acts like a Japanese beta MC. Hestia and Hephaestus practically throw themselves at him in the bathroom, and he doesn't do anything, and acts all shy. On the relationship side, it's practically the goddesses who take the initiative, because if it were up to the MC, he would remain passive forever. And even after this scene, nothing happens, nothing is developed. Honestly at this point, I wish he was a bit of a Chinaman when it comes to relationships, and had the same attitude he has towards business and development. Personally? I like this fanfic except for this relationship development which is really bad, everything else is really good. Mostly because we have Hestia and Hephaestus as FML, and to be honest, they are the best things about Danmachi, with Hephaestus being the first.

Great so far, but the constant need for the MC's secrecy does lead to certain plot inconsistency. Overall still a great read for me. I'm excited to see where the author goes with this story.
