Bifrost

---

Thor charged at Loki, but Loki had no intention of continuing the fight. He could barely hold his own with Gungnir, and he knew that in a prolonged battle, he would undoubtedly lose.

Since childhood, Thor had displayed extraordinary combat talent, whereas Loki had never been much of a fighter.

So, Loki struck Thor again with Gungnir, sending him flying. Taking advantage of the moment, he vanished.

Thor quickly spotted Loki's figure appearing on the Rainbow Bridge and immediately gave chase.

[Note- I just chage some things about bifrost (au), that doesn't mean that it works.i don't want any comments like - author you didn't know anything about bifrost, blah blah....]

Upon reaching the bridge, Thor saw Loki drive Gungnir into the control mechanism, activating the Rainbow Bridge and directing its power toward Jotunheim.

The Bifrost wasn't just a means of travel—it was also a weapon. If left unchecked, its continuous energy output would eventually destroy the entire realm of the Frost Giants.

Thor instantly realized Loki's intent and knew he had to stop him. But by the time he arrived, the bridge had already been open for too long.

Loki fought to keep the bridge active, using his agility to evade Thor and stall for time. As the Bifrost surged at full power, the energy pouring into Jotunheim intensified, tearing apart the frozen land below. The Frost Giants could do nothing to stop it.

Back on the bridge, the battle reached its climax.

Thor finally overpowered Loki, knocking him to the ground. He pinned his brother in place by placing Mjolnir on Loki's chest, ensuring he couldn't interfere any further.

Thor then rushed to the control mechanism, but no matter what he tried, the access point was engulfed in energy—completely inaccessible.

Realizing brute force wouldn't work, he attempted to break through, but it was useless.

Pinned beneath Mjolnir, Loki watched Thor's repeated failures and burst into laughter.

"Hahahaha! Thor, my dear brother, just give up. The Rainbow Bridge is beyond your control now. My plan will succeed!"

Though physically restrained, Loki's triumph was evident in his voice. Everything he had planned for so long was finally falling into place.

Thor, however, ignored him. His mind raced, searching for a solution.

Loki sneered. "Face it, Thor! There's nothing you can do!"

Then, Thor's gaze fell on the bridge itself.

Loki, sensing his brother's resolve, scoffed. "What are you thinking now?"

Thor didn't respond. Instead, he reached out, and Mjolnir flew back into his hand.

Loki smirked, thinking Thor had finally accepted defeat. "Now that's more like it—"

Boom!

Before Loki could finish, Thor swung Mjolnir down, smashing the Rainbow Bridge beneath him.

Loki's smirk vanished. "What are you doing?! Are you mad? Do you even realize what destroying the Bifrost means?"

Thor didn't answer. He simply kept swinging.

Boom! Crack!

With each strike, fractures spread across the shimmering bridge.

Loki tried again. "What about Earth? What about Jane? You'll never see her again!"

For a brief moment, Thor hesitated.

Seeing this, Loki exhaled in relief—

Boom!

Another strike. And another.

The bridge couldn't withstand the assault. With one final blow, the Bifrost shattered, erupting in a massive explosion. The Rainbow Bridge was destroyed, its energy severed. The attack on Jotunheim ceased, and all that remained was the broken remnants of the once-mighty bridge.

At that moment, Odin appeared.

Though still in the Odinsleep, he had projected a spectral form to the bridge, drawn by the catastrophic destruction of Asgard's greatest conduit.

Without hesitation, Odin reached out and grabbed Thor, preventing him from being flung into the abyss.

Thor held onto Gungnir—and at the other end of the spear, Loki dangled above the void.

For the first time since his return, Thor was truly relieved. "Father!"

Loki, clinging to Gungnir, looked up at Odin. His expression wavered—like a child seeking reassurance.

But Odin, his face heavy with sorrow, slowly shook his head.

Loki's face fell. The last trace of hope faded from his eyes.

"You'll never understand," Loki whispered. His voice trembled, but his words were firm. "I never wanted the throne. I only ever wanted to be your equal."

Thor's grip tightened. "Loki, don't—"

Loki looked at him one last time—then let go.

"NO! LOKI!"

Thor's scream echoed across the shattered bridge, but it was too late.

Loki vanished into the cosmic abyss, swallowed by the darkness beyond.

And Thor could do nothing but watch.
