Lisa could still feel Julianna's gaze burning into her back as Felix led her away.
Something about that woman bothered her.
Felix was cold to everyone, but with Julianna, it was different. It wasn't just indifference—it was anger.
Lisa glanced up at him. His jaw was tight, and his grip on her hand hadn't loosened.
"Felix," she murmured.
He didn't look at her. "Forget her."
Lisa frowned. "Who is she?"
Felix exhaled sharply, clearly annoyed. "It doesn't matter."
Lisa stopped walking, forcing him to halt too. "It matters if she has the power to affect you like this."
Felix turned to her, his gaze sharp. "I said forget her, Lisa."
Lisa crossed her arms. "You keep saying that, but you're the one who looks like you want to break something."
Felix stiffened.
For a moment, it looked like he might snap at her.
Then, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"Julianna was my ex-fiancée," he finally admitted.
Lisa's eyes widened. "Ex-fiancée?!"
Felix's expression darkened. "Our families arranged it when I was fifteen. But she didn't want me—she wanted my company. When I refused to let her use Z&K for her own gain, she left."
Lisa processed his words, her heart twisting a little.
Felix had been betrayed.
She wanted to say something comforting, but before she could, Felix spoke again.
"That's why I don't do 'love,' Lisa." His voice was cold again. "It's just another business transaction to most people."
Lisa swallowed.
"Is that how he sees me too? As just another business deal?"
Before she could respond, someone interrupted.
"Felix!"
A new voice this time.
Lisa turned and saw a man approaching them.
Handsome. Sharp-eyed. And… somehow familiar?
Felix sighed. "What do you want, Vincent?"
Lisa's stomach dropped.
Vincent?
As in Vincent Zhan—one of the biggest names in the tech industry?
And one of Felix's older brothers.
