Act III - Between the Lines:

Student Council Room - 5:47 PM :

The large desk in the center of the room was filled with papers, everything neatly stacked as if it had been planned in advance, except for one person who didn't seem to follow this strict order: Sohara Akima.

He sits in one of the side chairs, juggling a black pen between his fingers, while Yukiha Kurasawa continues reading a report. There is silence, but not the cozy kind of silence, but a charged silence, like a tightrope about to snap.

"You're not doing anything." Yukiha said without raising her eyes.

Sohara simply twirled the pen between his fingers. "I'm observing."

"And is observing a job now?"

"Why not? Observers are often the smartest people around."

Finally, Yukiha lifted her gaze and looked directly at him. "That is, if they have anything to observe at all."

Sohara smiled lightly, this wasn't so much a challenge as it was their usual tug-of-war. But he knows that behind Yukiha's serious tone, something is bothering her.

"So, what's bothering you?"

She narrowed her eyes slightly. "What makes you think something is bothering me?"

"Your intuition is too good to let these things go unnoticed." He said, tapping the pen on the table. "You're sensing that there's something unnatural about the ceremony preparations, right?"

Yukiha didn't respond immediately, but Sohara noticed how her fingers gripped the paper in her hand for a moment before she regained her composure.

"Nothing abnormal." She said softly. "But..."

He raised his eyebrow slightly. "But?"

Yukiha slowly closed the file in her hands, then said in a low voice: "The archive files of previous years are not complete."

"You mean what?"

"The reports for previous batches... there's a gap, as if something is missing. The class of 2005 is not fully transcribed."

Sohara looked at her for a moment, then tilted his head slightly. "Class of 2005, isn't that the ceremony we're preparing for?"

"Exactly."

For the first time, Sohara felt that things were starting to get interesting.
