The dorm was quiet, the only sound being the faint hum of the air conditioner and the occasional rustle of blankets. The moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room.
Kikidori was out cold, lying on his back, breathing steadily.
And right on top of him, curled up like an actual cat, was Haruna.
Her small body was sprawled across his chest, her head resting just below his collarbone. Her tail twitched slightly in her sleep, and her ears flicked every now and then as she mumbled incoherent nonsense.
Kikidori stirred slightly, cracking one eye open. At first, he was confused. Why the hell did his chest feel heavier than usual? Then he looked down.
And saw a tiny cat-girl literally using him as a mattress.
He blinked. "Seriously?"
Haruna just let out a soft mew in response, snuggling deeper into his chest.
Kikidori sighed. This wasn't the first time she had done this. If she got too comfortable, she always ended up treating him like some kind of human-sized cat bed.
Normally, he'd shove her off. But…
The way she was breathing softly, her little body rising and falling with each breath…
The way her ears twitched ever so slightly when he moved…
The way her tail lazily draped across his stomach…
Damn it.
He let his head fall back onto the pillow, exhaling. Fine. Just this once.
Haruna mumbled something in her sleep, gripping his shirt like a tiny kitten kneading a blanket.
Kikidori sighed again but couldn't help the small smirk forming on his lips.
She really was too much sometimes.
But whatever. He'd deal with it in the morning.
For now, he let sleep take him again, with a little cat-girl purring softly against his chest.
