A long time later, Minato Namikaze stepped out of the Hokage Residence, his face adorned with a warm smile, as if he had just received some kind of promise from Hiruzen Sarutobi.
As he was leaving, he happened to cross paths with Danzo Shimura, who had just emerged from the Root's headquarters and was heading toward Sarutobi's office.
"Lord Danzo."
In the hallway, Minato immediately stepped aside upon seeing Danzo and greeted him with a polite smile.
However, Danzo merely shot Minato a sidelong glance as he walked past, saying nothing.
...
The next day.
After a night of rest at home, Veigar Koshima was preparing to head out for training.
However, just as he stepped outside, he noticed someone waiting for him at his doorstep—Minato Namikaze.
"Good morning, Sensei!"
"What brings you here?"
The moment he saw Minato, Veigar greeted him respectfully.
"Good morning, Veigar."
"I came here specifically to see you today."
Minato's face carried its usual warm smile.
Veigar was puzzled. "To see me?"
...
Training Ground 44, Konohagakure.
Minato led Veigar to the same training ground where Veigar had previously practiced his Great Breakthrough technique. There, Minato turned to him and said,
"Veigar, can you show me your Rasengan?"
Minato's expression was slightly more serious than usual. Though his demeanor remained warm, there was an unmistakable air of scrutiny in his gaze.
Hearing this, Veigar hesitated for a moment before asking cautiously,
"Sensei, is there something wrong with the way I use the Rasengan?"
Minato nodded. "Veigar, do you remember what happened a few days ago when you used your Rasengan to clash against my Big Ball Rasengan?"
Veigar nodded. "Of course."
How could he forget? It hadn't been that long ago, and although Goyama Yuma wasn't the first opponent he had ever faced, he was the first ninja he had fought.
Minato continued, "At that time, I noticed something—your Rasengan seemed to have far greater destructive power than mine."
"So, I wanted to confirm something."
"And while we're at it, I wanted to ask if you've made any modifications to the Rasengan."
As he said this, Minato scratched his head in an almost sheepish manner.
Veigar, however, felt a wave of relief wash over him. For a moment, he had feared that Minato had discovered his unique abilities.
So that's all it was.
Nodding, Veigar immediately formed a Rasengan in his hand and presented it to Minato.
Minato carefully examined it for a moment before conjuring his own Rasengan.
"Veigar, compare yours with mine."
Saying this, Minato brought his Rasengan closer to Veigar's.
"Alright."
Veigar responded immediately.
For safety, they slowly moved their Rasengan closer until they finally touched.
Then, to Minato's surprise, his own Rasengan was completely overpowered and shattered.
"Eh?!"
Minato was visibly taken aback.
At first glance, his and Veigar's Rasengan appeared identical. However, the moment they clashed, Minato distinctly felt that Veigar's Rasengan carried more weight.
"Veigar, did you modify the Rasengan?"
Now certain that Veigar's Rasengan was significantly stronger than his own, Minato asked, his mind racing.
Veigar shook his head, then looked into Minato's eyes, as if making an important decision.
"Sensei, what I'm about to say… you must not tell anyone else."
"Can you promise me that?"
On the surface, Veigar appeared to be revealing a major secret. However, internally, he remained completely calm.
What he was about to tell Minato was simply that his chakra quality was far superior to that of ordinary people.
To Veigar, this wasn't a particularly significant secret.
Minato nodded. "If it's something truly important, you don't have to tell me."
Veigar shook his head. "It's not really a secret."
"The reason my Rasengan is stronger than yours is probably because of my chakra."
Pausing for a moment, he continued,
"I've realized that the chakra I refine is roughly four times denser than that of others."
"No matter what technique I use—whether it's the Rasengan or the Wind Release: Great Breakthrough—the same amount of chakra produces far greater power compared to others."
Minato was stunned.
If what Veigar said was true, then in battles between evenly matched opponents, his advantage would be overwhelming.
It was as if two equally skilled ninjas cast the same jutsu, but one of them had an absolute edge in potency.
Such an advantage could easily be the deciding factor in a fight.
"Veigar, do you use a special chakra refinement technique?"
If that were the case, Minato could at least make sense of it. After all, the ninja world was filled with all kinds of unique techniques.
Veigar shook his head again. "No, I learned my chakra refinement technique at the Academy."
"This seems to be a trait of my body."
His body…? A Kekkei Genkai?
At this point, Minato dared not ask any further questions. Delving too deeply into another ninja's abilities, especially Kekkei Genkai or clan secrets, was strictly forbidden in the shinobi world.
No matter if it was a hidden technique or a Kekkei Genkai, such knowledge was fiercely guarded, and any attempts to pry were met with zero tolerance.
Minato now believed that Veigar was still too young to understand the complexities of the shinobi world.
But what about in the future?
When Veigar grew older and became aware of these nuances, would he feel that Minato had been trying to manipulate him?
How would Minato explain himself then?
With that in mind, Minato decided to stop probing. Instead, he regarded Veigar seriously and asked,
"Veigar, have you told anyone else about your chakra's unique properties?"
Veigar shook his head. "No, you're the only person I've told."
Hearing this, Minato placed a hand on Veigar's head and ruffled his hair.
Then, with a solemn tone, he said,
"Veigar, remember this."
"No matter who it is, never reveal the secret of your body to anyone."
"Because you may very well possess an undiscovered Kekkei Genkai."
