Veigar Koshima, well-versed in the world of Naruto, was no stranger to the term Kekkei Genkai. Among the most renowned of these bloodline limits were the three great Dojutsu:
The Rinnegan, once wielded by the Sage of Six Paths.
The Sharingan, the defining trait of the Uchiha Clan.
The Byakugan, the hereditary gift of the Hyuga Clan.
Additionally, there were other formidable Kekkei Genkai, such as the Wood Release of Hashirama Senju, one of Konoha's founding figures; the Shikotsumyaku of Kaguya Kimimaro; and the Ice Release of the Yuki Clan.
Although Veigar understood what Kekkei Genkai were, he also knew that he had yet to formally study them. It wouldn't do to act too knowledgeable in front of Minato Namikaze.
Feigning curiosity, Veigar turned to Minato and asked, "Sensei, what exactly is a Kekkei Genkai?"
Minato, eager to educate his student, began explaining with enthusiasm. "A Kekkei Genkai refers to a unique ability passed down through bloodline inheritance.
"These techniques cannot be learned by outsiders; they can only be inherited genetically.
"Shinobi who possess Kekkei Genkai are highly valued, as these abilities grant them exceptional powers. Nations and villages take great measures to protect their own bloodline secrets while seeking to uncover and neutralize those of their enemies."
After listening carefully, Veigar quickly grasped the concept. He responded, "So what you're saying, Sensei, is that the exceptional chakra quality and intensity I possess could be inherited by my descendants?"
"That means my top priority should be keeping this ability a secret, ensuring that no one finds out—otherwise, I might become a target for assassination or sabotage."
Minato, impressed by Veigar's keen intellect, nodded in approval. "That's exactly right."
"So from now on, you must never reveal your abilities to anyone. Understood?"
Veigar answered firmly, "Yes, Minato-sensei. I understand."
A day passed in the blink of an eye.
At Training Ground 44, Minato had spent the entire day overseeing Veigar's training. However, as the sun began to set, a nagging feeling crept into Minato's mind—something important had slipped his memory.
As they left the training ground together, Veigar turned to Minato and said, "Thank you for today's lesson, Minato-sensei. I'll be heading home now."
Minato smiled warmly. "Alright, tr—"
Just as he was about to say travel safely, the word home struck him like a bolt of lightning. He froze on the spot.
Only then did Minato remember—he had completely stood up Kushina Uzumaki today.
"Oh no… Kushina…" he muttered under his breath, dread washing over him.
Just imagining Kushina's explosive temper made Minato break out in a cold sweat.
"Sensei? What's wrong?"
Seeing Minato's stunned expression, Veigar waved a hand in front of his face.
Snapping back to reality, Minato quickly said, "Veigar, be careful on your way home. I… have something urgent to take care of."
The moment he finished speaking, Minato vanished using the Teleportation Jutsu.
Watching Minato disappear, Veigar turned toward his own home, recalling the name Minato had muttered under his breath—Kushina.
Kushina Uzumaki, orphan of the Uzumaki clan. Konoha's second Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails. A master of sealing techniques. Currently, Minato Namikaze's girlfriend.
Morning came swiftly, and after completing his morning training with Might Guy, Veigar prepared to set out for another day of practice. However, as soon as he stepped outside, he was surprised to find Minato standing at his doorstep once again.
Did he come to train me again? Veigar wondered. It would certainly be welcome—yesterday's lessons had been extremely beneficial.
With a bright smile, Veigar greeted him, "Good morning, Minato-sensei! Are we training again today?"
Minato looked at Veigar with a forced smile, his mind replaying the previous night's events—specifically, the domestic dispute he had endured at Kushina's hands.
Clearing his throat, Minato took a step closer, clasped his hands together in a pleading gesture, and whispered, "Veigar, I need your help today."
"This is extremely important. And right now… you're the only one who can help me."
Veigar blinked. He had been expecting a training session, not a request for help.
"…Uh."
Veigar found himself momentarily speechless.
Then, after a long pause, he tilted his head slightly and asked, "Sensei, are you really my teacher?"
His doubtful tone, combined with the skeptical look in his eyes, was enough to shake Minato's pride.
Did… did Veigar just question my legitimacy as his sensei?!
For a moment, Minato considered giving him a good thump on the head. But remembering that he needed Veigar's help, he swallowed his frustration and said, "Of course, I'm your teacher!"
"We literally spent the entire day together yesterday."
Veigar, still skeptical, responded, "Impossible. My teacher wouldn't be this stupid."
He then turned his head away, refusing to look at Minato.
Minato barely managed to hold back his irritation.
Taking a deep breath, he tried again. "Veigar, if I am your teacher, why would you refuse to help without even hearing what I need?"
Veigar smirked. "Good question. Why don't you tell me?"
Minato blinked. "Wait… I didn't tell you yet?"
Veigar held back a chuckle. "No, you didn't."
Minato furrowed his brows. "Are you sure?"
Veigar, barely containing his amusement, responded, "Absolutely."
Minato sighed in resignation. "Alright, fine. I didn't say it."
The moment he admitted it, Veigar could no longer hold back. He burst into quiet laughter.
"Hehehe…"
Minato instantly realized—Veigar had been messing with him this whole time.
That's it. I'm done.
Minato, unable to endure the humiliation any longer, delivered a swift flick to Veigar's forehead.
Thunk!
"Ow!"
Veigar winced, rubbing his forehead as he looked at Minato with a wounded expression.
Minato, arms crossed, gave him a firm nod. That's what you get.
