Episode 42: Happiness Potion for Mondays

The shop bell jingled, letting in a gust of wind and a figure wrapped in a scarf so large it looked like they were being devoured by a sentient blanket. The only thing visible was a pair of tired, bloodshot eyes and a coffee cup clutched like a lifeline.

Felix barely glanced up from his tinkering. "Lemme guess. Monday?"

The figure groaned. "I need help. I hate Mondays. I hate them so much I think the calendar invented them just to personally insult me."

Zira, from her perch near the window, snorted. "Join the club. We meet on Tuesdays."

The customer dragged themselves to the counter. "I need a potion. One that makes me happy. But only on Mondays. Oh — and it has to taste like chocolate. If I'm gonna suffer, I at least want to suffer deliciously."

Felix raised an eyebrow. "You want a Happiness Potion specifically for Mondays, that tastes like chocolate, and doesn't wear off until the day's over?"

"Yes. No. I don't know. Just make me stop wanting to fight the sun every Monday morning."

Felix smirked. "Got it. One 'Monday Mojo' coming up."

One Pot, Two Spills, and a Minor Sugar Explosion Later…

Felix placed a small, heart-shaped vial on the counter. It gleamed with a rich, cocoa-brown glow.

"There you go. One dose, lasts the whole day. Guaranteed happiness. Side effects may include smiling at coworkers, finding bad jokes funny, and possibly forgiving your boss for existing."

The scarfed figure snatched it up eagerly. "You're a lifesaver. If this works, I might actually survive my morning meetings."

Zira waved lazily. "Good luck. If you feel the urge to sing show tunes, that's a feature, not a bug."

Monday Morning, 9 AM

The door slammed open with the force of a caffeinated tornado. The same customer charged in, scarf gone, eyes wide, and a terrifying grin plastered on their face.

Felix blinked. "...You okay?"

The customer practically vibrated with energy. "This potion. Is AMAZING. I woke up singing. I hugged the mailman. I told my boss his haircut looks great — and it doesn't! I love Mondays now. I think I love everyone. Even Greg from accounting. Greg, Felix. GREG."

Felix blinked. "No one loves Greg from accounting."

"I KNOW!" the customer shouted gleefully. "I brought you muffins! Happy Monday!"

They dumped a basket of muffins onto the counter and sprinted out the door, laughing like a person who had truly lost their last marble.

Zira stared after them. "...Think we overdid the dose?"

Felix eyed the muffins. "Maybe. But hey — free muffins."
