The golden tests

They snagged a couple of seat just in time.

A few minutes later and the head master stood before them, he was an older looking man with her full of grey and a smile that rubbed Liz the wrong way.

He reminded her of Bianca and when she looked into his dark eyes, she couldn't tell a difference between his and Bianca's.

He stood in front of the student body, microphone in one hand as he cleared his throat to get the attention of everyone.

"Good evening students, it is so lovely to have you here, both new and old students. Tonight we say a hearty welcome to the freshman." He gave a pause as claps and celebratory hoots sounded around them.

Liz stared at everyone in glee, her gaze stopping at Quinn who looked at the man like he was talking about hanging the moon in their room.

"Yes, yes. You are all privileged to be here, some more than others." He cast a look in her direction.

Liz perked up, suddenly interested in what he had to say.

"- but however there is so much that privileged can do for you. And according to the customs of Evacrest, it is mandatory that all Freshmen take the golden test."

Mummies broke out among the student body.

"What's the golden test?" She whispered to Quinn.

"The golden test, is a series of test that go on for seven days, this test tells us your potential and if you are fit to stay at this school".

Liz scrunched her nose in confusion, what did he mean by 'fit'.

"These test consists of physical tests, your knowledge of history, and ancient math, your strengths, both mentally and physically, your test of power, how you do in hand to hand combat."

She looked around at the freshmen around her, no one seemed to be as confused about his words like she was. Not even Quinn.

They all looked excited.

It felt like she was hearing something completely different. None of it made sense.

Why would the school want to know how she did in had to hand combat?

"No remember, how well you do in this test will determine your stay in Evacrest. The test start on Monday, good luck and may the odds be forever with you."
