S Rank Breeder

After securing his status as a Heavenly King-level Trainer, Rei wasted no time and made his way toward the Breeder Guild in Sandal City. The large white building was filled with trainers, breeders, and Pokémon enthusiasts discussing Pokémon care, diets, and genetics.

As Rei stepped inside, a receptionist greeted him.

"Welcome to the Breeder Guild! How can I help you?"

"I'd like to take the Breeder Exam and get my rank."

The receptionist raised an eyebrow. "Most people start at F-rank and work their way up. You'll have to take several tests to determine your level. The breeder rank are F, E, D, C, B, A, and S"

Rei looking nonchalant. "I'm fine with that. Let's start."

After going inside the hall room. The examiner, an old man named Master Breeder Hugo, stepped forward.

"Young man, do you think you can just walk in here and claim to be a high-level breeder?" Hugo scoffed. "Breeding and raising Pokémon properly is an art. It takes years of dedication."

Rei shrugged. "Then let's see if I've got what it takes."

Hugo nodded. "Fine. You'll be tested in four areas: PokéBlock Making, Pokémon Knowledge, Healing, and Pokémon Diagnosis."

---

First Test: PokéBlock Creation

Rei was led to a PokéBlock crafting station, where several ingredients were laid out.

"For this test, you must create a high-quality PokéBlock. The best breeders can craft S-Rank PokéBlocks, which enhance Pokémon growth significantly."

Rei scanned the ingredients, quickly picking out a perfect balance of berries. He crushed, blended, and refined them with precision, then carefully adjusted the temperature and stirring speed of the machine.

Within minutes, he produced a glowing, perfectly textured PokéBlock.

Hugo and the judges gasped. After testing eith a machine and having a snubbull fainting in delight.

"S-S-Rank?!" one of the assistant breeders stammered.

Hugo picked up the block, inspecting it closely. "This… this is perfect. The nutrient balance, taste, and effect are all at the highest level!"

Rei smirked. "That's one test down."

---

Second Test: Pokémon Knowledge

Hugo led Rei to a table filled with Pokémon eggs and Pokémon care books.

"I will ask you a series of questions. If you answer correctly, you pass."

The questions came fast:

How do you hatch a Feebas egg properly?

What diet enhances a Growlithe's firepower?

How do you handle a newly hatched Riolu to ensure it trusts its trainer?

Which berries counteract poisoning best?

Rei answered every single one with ease, even providing additional insights beyond the textbook answers.

The assistant breeders were stunned.

"He didn't even hesitate!"

Hugo narrowed his eyes. "You've either studied your whole life or you're naturally gifted…"

---

Third Test: Healing an Injured Pokémon

For this test, Rei was given an injured Pidgeotto with a sprained wing and minor cuts.

"The best breeders can treat Pokémon even without the use of Pokémon Powers or advanced medicine," Hugo explained.

Rei carefully examined the Pidgeotto, feeling along its wing joints.

"Hmm… the injury isn't severe. It just needs a proper bandage, a special herbal paste, and rest."

He quickly prepared a soothing balm, applied it gently, then wrapped the wing in a supportive bandage.

Pidgeotto chirped happily, already feeling relief.

Hugo's eyes widened. "You did it as if it were second nature… incredible."

---

Final Test: Diagnosing a Pokémon's Condition

For the last test, Rei was taken to a large holding area where several Pokémon stood.

"You must examine them and correctly determine their conditions and needs."

Rei took one glance at a Luxio and immediately said, "It's lacking proper electrical discharge practice—causing built-up energy tension. It needs to release its stored electricity regularly to stay healthy."

He walked to a Gogoat and nodded. "This one has been eating the wrong type of grass. It needs nutrient-rich feed to recover its energy."

Finally, he pointed at a Butterfree. "This Butterfree is experiencing stress from overbreeding. It needs to be separated from mating pairs and given a calmer environment."

Silence filled the room.

One of the assistant breeders gulped. "He… he got everything right just by looking at them?"

Hugo took a deep breath. "I don't need to see any more."

S-Rank Breeder

Master Breeder Hugo approached Rei, a small gold emblem in his hand.

"No one—no one—has ever passed all four tests at the highest level in one go."

He held out the emblem.

"Sir Rei, you are officially an S-Rank Breeder."

Rei took the emblem and smiled. "That wasn't too bad."

The guild members watched him leave, their jaws still hanging.

A Heavenly King-level Trainer and now an S-Rank Breeder…

Just who was this guy?
