Step One: Wake Up, Choose Violence

I woke up with one goal.

Run away.

Because there is NO WAY I'M LETTING THIS WEDDING HAPPEN.

I sat up, ready to escape.

Then—

A stack of wedding invitations crashed onto my lap.

I screamed.

Step Two: Realize I Am DOOMED

I grabbed the top invitation.

It had gold embroidery and the royal seal.

The words burned into my eyes—

"You are invited to the glorious union of Lady Seraphina, Duke Damian, and Lady Lila."

I collapsed. "WHO DID THIS?!"

Lila sipped tea. "The King personally approved them."

Damian smirked. "They're already sent out."

I gasped. "YOU SENT THEM OUT?!"

Damian: "Of course. It'd be rude to cancel now."

I grabbed a pillow and THREW IT AT HIS FACE.

Step Three: Damage Control (And Fail Miserably)

I stomped into the royal palace.

"WHERE IS THE KING?!"

The guards blocked me.

"His Majesty is in a meeting."

"With who?!"

They hesitated. Then—

"The wedding planners."

…

I AM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND.

Step Four: The Worst Surprise Yet

The doors burst open.

A messenger ran in.

"Lady Seraphina! The Queen wishes to meet you!"

I froze.

"…Why?"

He hesitated.

"She wants to discuss your honeymoon plans."

…

I grabbed the nearest candle holder and considered throwing it.

Step Five: Accept (Or Continue to Suffer)

I stormed back to my mansion, ready to SCREAM.

Then I saw an army of maids waiting for me.

They bowed.

"Lady Seraphina, we must begin your beauty treatments!"

I panicked. "WAIT. NO—"

Suddenly, they attacked.

Lotions. Perfumes. FACE MASKS.

Lila: "Oh, do the rose-scented one."

Damian: "Make sure her dress is extra revealing."

I kicked him.

Step Six: My Last Shred of Hope Dies

I collapsed onto my bed.

I had tried everything to stop this madness.

But now…

The invitations were sent.

The palace was preparing.

The QUEEN was involved.

This was no longer a wedding.

THIS WAS A NATIONAL EVENT.

Lila patted my head. "Don't worry, you'll be a beautiful bride."

Damian grinned. "Or two."

I screamed into my pillow.
