Chapter 27: A Villainess Plans Her Final Rebellion

Chapter 27: A Villainess Plans Her Final Rebellion

Seraphina sat on her bed, arms crossed, legs swinging, and plotting MURDER.

Her so-called fiancés were lounging in her room like they owned the place.

Lila, looking elegant as always, sipped her tea gracefully on the couch. Damian leaned against the door, arms folded, smirking like he had already won.

Seraphina hated them both.

"I can't believe this," she muttered. "I'm actually being held hostage in my own house."

Lila set down her teacup. "Not hostage. Bride-to-be."

Seraphina shot her a look. "That makes it worse."

Damian chuckled. "Oh? And what do you plan to do about it?"

Seraphina grinned.

She hopped off the bed and casually walked toward the balcony.

Lila narrowed her eyes. "What are you—"

Before she could finish, Seraphina jumped.

"SEE YOU NEVER, LOSERS—"

Unfortunately, her brilliant escape plan had one fatal flaw.

She had forgotten that vampires could fly.

A strong pair of arms caught her mid-air.

She screamed in frustration.

"OH, COME ON."

Damian hovered effortlessly above the ground, holding her bridal-style.

He looked far too amused.

"Creative," he admitted. "But stupid."

Seraphina kicked wildly. "LET ME FALL."

"Not a chance."

Lila leaned over the balcony, watching with mild interest. "Did you actually think that would work?"

Seraphina gritted her teeth. "Let me dream, damn it."

Damian carried her back inside like she was nothing more than a misbehaving cat.

Lila sighed. "This is your third escape attempt in two days."

Seraphina scowled. "And I'll keep trying until one of them works."

Damian smirked. "Oh? Then we'll just have to keep a closer eye on you."

Seraphina froze.

Lila's smile turned devious. "He's right. We can't risk you running off before the wedding."

Seraphina did not like where this was going.

"We should move into her bedroom," Lila said. "Just until the wedding, of course."

Seraphina's soul left her body.

"YOU'RE JOKING."

Damian stretched lazily. "I call the left side of the bed."

Lila nodded. "I'll take the right."

Seraphina's eye twitched violently.

"…I'LL SLEEP ON THE FLOOR."

Lila gasped. "That would be so improper."

Seraphina grabbed a pillow and screamed into it.
