Chapter 29: A Villainess Wakes Up to Chaos
Seraphina woke up feeling warm.
Too warm.
Something heavy was draped over her.
She blinked groggily and turned her head—
BAD IDEA.
Lila's face was right there, inches from hers, breathing peacefully.
Her soft blonde hair spilled over the pillow, framing her unfairly gorgeous face.
Seraphina jerked back—
And crashed straight into Damian's chest.
Her soul ascended.
NO. NO. NO.
She was trapped.
Lila had curled around her like a lazy cat.
Damian had one arm slung over her waist.
This isn't happening.
This isn't happening.
Seraphina sucked in a deep breath.
She needed to get out of here without waking them up.
Step one: Slowly move Damian's hand off her waist.
She gently lifted it—
Only for Damian to tighten his grip.
Seraphina froze.
Damian murmured sleepily. "Mmm… stay…"
Seraphina mentally screamed.
Step two: Roll away from Lila without disturbing her.
She shifted carefully—
Lila immediately wrapped her leg around Seraphina's.
TRAP. IT WAS A TRAP.
Seraphina gritted her teeth.
She had two choices.
1. Wake them up and suffer the consequences.
2. Play dead until they woke up first.
She chose violence.
"WAKE UP, YOU PARASITES!"
Damian groaned, half-awake. "Five more minutes…"
Lila yawned, nuzzling closer. "Mmm… comfy."
Seraphina's eye twitched violently.
"COMFY?! I AM SUFFOCATING."
Lila cracked one eye open. "Oh, you're awake? Good morning, dear."
Seraphina grabbed a pillow and threw it at her face.
Damian finally opened his eyes, grinning. "Ah. She survived the night."
Seraphina pointed an accusing finger. "WHY WERE YOU BOTH CUDDLING ME?!"
Lila shrugged. "You're warm."
Damian smirked. "You smell nice."
Seraphina let out a long, suffering sigh.
"…I'm running away the moment I get the chance."
Lila smiled sweetly. "Then I suppose we'll just have to keep you close, won't we?"
Damian chuckled darkly. "Oh, absolutely."
Seraphina stared at them in horror.
She was doomed.
