Chapter 32: A Villainess Watches a Murder (Almost)
Seraphina dodged out of the way as Damian sprinted for his life with Lila hot on his heels.
CRASH!
A chair toppled over.
BANG!
A bookshelf almost fell.
SCREAMING!
From all three of them.
Seraphina clutched her own head in despair.
"STOP DESTROYING MY ROOM, YOU MANIACS!"
Lila chased Damian with the speed of a bloodthirsty panther.
"I told you to stay away from her room at night, Damian!"
Damian dodged a flying hairbrush. "IT WAS AN EMERGENCY—"
"DO YOU LOOK LIKE AN EMERGENCY?!"
Damian peeked at Seraphina for help.
Seraphina immediately looked away. "You're on your own, buddy."
Damian let out a betrayed gasp.
Just then—
SLAM!
The bedroom door burst open.
A group of panicked maids and butlers rushed in.
One maid clutched her chest. "M-My lady! We heard shouting—"
They froze at the scene.
Seraphina stood there like a defeated mother.
Lila was mid-air, about to punch Damian.
Damian was clutching a pillow like a shield.
The entire room was in chaos.
A long, awkward silence.
The butler adjusted his monocle.
"…Should we call a priest?"
Seraphina groaned. "No."
Lila snapped out of her rage and straightened her nightgown, suddenly graceful again.
"There was a misunderstanding," she said sweetly.
Seraphina stared at her in disbelief.
A misunderstanding?!
This woman had just attempted murder!
Damian took the opportunity to escape.
He quickly grabbed a random chair and held it up between him and Lila.
"I think I'll just be leaving now," he said with a nervous laugh.
Seraphina crossed her arms. "Oh, now you want to leave? After DESTROYING MY ROOM?"
Damian flashed a charming smile. "I'll send my personal cleaners. Free of charge."
Seraphina glared. "I hate you."
Lila flipped her hair. "Not as much as I do."
Damian sighed dramatically.
"So much hostility. And here I thought we were bonding."
Lila picked up a broken table leg.
Damian sprinted out of the room before she could throw it.
Seraphina let out a long, exhausted sigh.
The maids looked at her expectantly.
"…I'm going back to sleep," Seraphina muttered. "If I wake up and my room still looks like a crime scene, I'm moving out."
The staff scrambled to clean immediately.
Lila patted Seraphina's shoulder.
"You should consider locking your windows next time."
Seraphina shoved her away.
"YOU should consider anger management classes!"
And with that, she collapsed onto her bed and threw a pillow over her face.
This vampire otome game world was going to kill her.
