Chapter 36: A Villainess Gets Kidnapped (For a Date?!)

Chapter 36: A Villainess Gets Kidnapped (For a Date?!)

Seraphina had many regrets in life.

Not refusing that duel.

Not running faster.

Not just locking herself in her room and pretending to be sick.

But right now, her biggest regret was letting her guard down.

Because somehow—SOMEHOW—she had been kidnapped.

Sort of.

"You call this a kidnapping?!" she screeched.

Damian smirked. "What else would you call it?"

Seraphina flailed. "A CRIME, YOU BLOODSUCKING MENACE!"

Damian—the walking flirtation hazard—had scooped her up, bridal-style, and just… left.

Right out of the ballroom. Right in front of everyone.

Including Lucius.

Who now looked like he wanted to commit actual murder.

The "Date" (More Like a Hostage Situation)

Damian finally set her down—on a luxurious balcony overlooking the moonlit city.

Candles. Wine. Soft music playing.

Seraphina squinted.

"…Is this a date?"

Damian leaned in, eyes glowing red. "It could be."

Seraphina immediately took a step back.

"NOPE. Nope, nope, nope. Absolutely not. Take me home."

Damian sighed dramatically. "You're no fun."

Seraphina crossed her arms. "Oh, I'm sorry, did you think abducting me would make me swoon?"

Damian grinned. "It worked on the heroine in one of the routes."

Seraphina felt a migraine forming.

"Okay. One—I am not the heroine. Two—you're supposed to be in love with the heroine! Three—TAKE ME HOME."

Damian chuckled. "You're adorable when you're mad."

Seraphina grabbed a wine glass and threw it at him.

CRASH!

Damian dodged, laughing. "Fiery. I like that."

Seraphina seethed. "I WILL END YOU."

Meanwhile… A Very Angry Lucius

Lucius stood in the ballroom, watching Damian disappear with Seraphina.

His eye twitched.

The audacity.

The absolute disrespect.

Someone—probably Lila—muttered, "Oooh. He's mad."

Lucius turned on his heel and left.

"Where's he going?" someone whispered.

Lila grinned. "To reclaim his villainess."

Back at the Balcony (A Rescue Mission? Maybe Not.)

Seraphina had just finished threatening Damian with a fork when—

CRASH!

Lucius kicked the door open.

"That's enough." His voice was cold. Dangerous.

Damian looked far too amused.

"Jealous, Lucius?"

Lucius didn't answer.

Instead—he strode forward, grabbed Seraphina by the waist, and yanked her away from Damian.

Seraphina's brain short-circuited.

One moment, she was glaring at Damian.

The next—she was pressed against Lucius's chest.

Lucius glared at Damian. "You will not take her without permission."

Seraphina opened her mouth—

Then closed it.

Wait.

Permission?!

WHOSE PERMISSION?!

Damian smirked. "Oh? And who says she belongs to you?"

Lucius's grip tightened.

Seraphina gulped.

She was going to die.

Either from embarrassment or the sheer amount of male ego in the air.
