Chapter 50: A Villainess Causes a Scandal (And More Headaches!)

Seraphina was going to commit murder.

Right here. Right now. In front of the entire ballroom.

Her victim?

Prince Alexander.

The smirking disaster who had just made every noble in the room believe he had romantic intentions toward her.

Seraphina gritted her teeth.

"Prince Alexander…" she said sweetly.

Alexander's smirk widened.

"Yes, my dear?"

The audience gasped.

"He called her 'my dear'!"

"Is the villainess truly engaged to the prince?!"

Seraphina's eye twitched.

This man was going to be the cause of her early grave.

Step One: Deny Everything (Fail Immediately.)

Seraphina turned to the watching nobles.

"There is nothing between us," she declared.

Alexander tilted his head.

"Are you sure?"

Seraphina crossed her arms.

"Positive."

Alexander sighed dramatically.

"Ah. My heart is shattered."

The crowd whispered excitedly.

"Did she reject him?!"

"The prince looks devastated!"

"What a cruel villainess!"

Seraphina's jaw dropped.

"WHY AM I THE VILLAIN IN THIS STORY?!"

Alexander leaned in.

"Because you make it so fun."

Seraphina kicked his shin.

Step Two: Escape the Madness (Absolutely Not Happening.)

Just as Seraphina spun on her heel to escape, another disaster appeared.

Damian.

The moody, brooding vampire lord.

His golden eyes narrowed at Alexander.

"Why," he asked coldly, "are you making a scene with her?"

Seraphina waved wildly.

"Yes, Damian! Focus on him, not me!"

Alexander smirked.

"Oh? Jealous, Lord Damian?"

Damian's frown deepened.

"I don't waste emotions on nonsense."

Seraphina nodded eagerly.

"See? He's too busy brooding to be interested in any drama—"

Damian suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"But I don't like others playing with what's mine."

Silence.

Seraphina stared.

The nobles stared.

Alexander laughed.

"Oh, now this is getting interesting."

Seraphina screamed internally.

Step Three: Just Accept the Chaos (She Will NEVER Accept This.)

She yanked her wrist free.

"LISTEN UP, YOU BLOODSUCKERS!"

The ballroom froze.

Seraphina took a deep breath.

"I AM NOT INVOLVED WITH ANY OF YOU!"

Alexander grinned.

"But you could be?"

Damian frowned.

"You already are."

Seraphina clenched her fists.

"THAT'S IT. I'M MOVING TO THE COUNTRYSIDE."

The nobles erupted into gossip.

Alexander chuckled.

Damian crossed his arms.

And Seraphina?

She stormed out.

She needed a vacation.

Or a time machine to punch her past self for getting into this mess.
