Chapter 82: A Villainess Gets Another Annoying Surprise
Seraphina marched down the hallway, ready to give Lucien a piece of her mind.
The audacity.
The arrogance.
The nerve to send her flowers like they were—
A couple.
She shuddered.
No. Absolutely not.
Lila trailed behind her, grinning.
"So, what's the plan? Throw the flowers in his face? Deny your growing feelings? Both?"
Seraphina ignored her.
She reached Lucien's office, threw the door open—
And froze.
Because sitting across from Lucien… was Damian.
And Damian was holding an identical bouquet of roses.
Seraphina blinked.
Lucien, ever the smug bastard, leaned back in his chair.
"Ah, Seraphina. To what do I owe this honor?"
Seraphina crossed her arms.
"Care to explain why you're sending roses to people like you're running a florist business?"
Damian snorted.
"Yes, Lucien, do explain."
Lucien smirked.
"Is it so wrong to send gifts to those I admire?"
Damian raised an eyebrow.
"So I'm also part of this… admirer list?"
Lucien sipped his tea.
"Of course. You're very handsome."
Seraphina and Damian: ???
Lucien smiled.
"But not as adorable as Seraphina when she's angry."
Seraphina picked up a paperweight from his desk.
"Choose your next words wisely."
Lucien chuckled.
"Violence so early in the morning? Darling, you wound me."
Seraphina sighed.
"You wound me by existing."
Damian shook his head.
"You two are exhausting."
Lucien grinned.
"And yet, you stay."
Damian groaned.

Later That Day
Seraphina stormed back into her room, only to find… another surprise.
A box.
Wrapped in black silk.
With a note.
> For my favorite villainess.
Try not to miss me too much.
Yours (inevitably), Lucien
Seraphina stared at it.
Lila peered over her shoulder.
"Ooooh. What is it?"
Seraphina sighed and opened it.
Inside was a beautiful necklace—a delicate black chain with a blood-red gemstone.
Lila gasped.
"That looks expensive."
Seraphina picked it up, examining it under the light.
It was flawless.
And frustrating.
Lila smirked.
"Are you going to return it?"
Seraphina hesitated.
Then, with great reluctance…
She put it on.
Lila grinned.
"Uh-huh. Not in love at all."
Seraphina groaned loudly.
At this rate, Lucien was going to be the death of her.
