A Sandy Encounter 5

Silver's sharp eyes scanned the battlefield, his senses honed from years of intense training. He could feel the presence of the enemy closing in, and despite the chaos around him, his mind remained focused. The ambush was well-coordinated, and the sand shinobi were not to be underestimated.

Silver's pulse quickened as he took note of their numbers. Ten shinobi in total: five Jonin, four Chunin, and the elite Jonin, the sand-based Ninjutsu user who stood at the center, poised to strike.

"We don't have time for games," Silver muttered under his breath, calculating their strengths. He needed to move quickly and decisively.

The battle had already begun. His comrades were engaged in their own struggles. Ryota was focused on keeping Aiko steady while Kaori and Hiroshi were engaging the remaining enemies in close combat. But Silver knew that the Chunin were his first target. They were the weakest link.

He locked eyes on them, scanning their chakra levels. He could tell they were formidable enough, but nothing like the Jonin or the elite. He needed to take them out fast to thin the numbers.

"First target: the Chunin," Silver thought, his mind already in action mode.

With a burst of speed, Silver dashed forward. The Chunin were too focused on Hiroshi and Kaori, unaware of the danger approaching them. Silver unsheathed his Kusanagi sword, the blade crackling with Chidori-style lightning as he charged.

The first Chunin barely had time to react as Silver's lightning-enhanced blade cut through the air, slicing the enemy clean through. He didn't pause. The second Chunin attempted to block with a kunai, but Silver spun, using his Chidori to paralyze the enemy's weapon, and then swept his sword low, severing the shinobi's legs. The Chunin collapsed to the ground, unable to move.

The third and fourth Chunin rushed in to avenge their fallen comrades, but they were too slow. With a swift series of hand seals, Silver summoned his Earth Release—Stone Pillars, sending massive stone spires erupting from the ground beneath them. The Chunin were crushed under the weight, their bodies pinned by the falling debris. Their screams were silenced, and the battlefield became quieter.

With four Chunin down in seconds, Silver didn't stop to relish the victory. There was still too much to do, and the elite Jonin was still a problem.

"Now for the elite," Silver muttered.

The elite Jonin, the Sand Ninjutsu user, had finally taken notice of him. The sand-based jutsu user raised his hand, and the earth beneath Silver's feet began to tremble. Massive waves of sand spiraled toward him, forming into razor-sharp blades designed to cut him down.

Silver gritted his teeth. He wasn't going to let this be the end. He needed to create an opening to finish this. As the sand blades shot toward him, he raised his Kusanagi sword and plunged it into the ground, channeling a massive surge of Earth Release energy through the blade.

"Earth Release—Rock Crushing Wave!" Silver bellowed, thrusting his hand forward.

A giant wave of jagged stone erupted from the ground, colliding with the incoming sand projectiles. The collision sent a shockwave through the battlefield, but Silver didn't stop. With a single motion, he flung his sword into the air, focusing his chakra.

"Earth Release—Earthquake!"

The earth beneath their feet split open, sending massive shockwaves through the ground. The terrain around him shifted violently, creating gaps and fissures that caused the sand to break apart. The elite Jonin, the Sand Ninjutsu user, struggled to keep his footing, the shifting ground making it difficult for him to control the sand.

Silver could see his opportunity. The elite Jonin's concentration was broken.

"Time to end this," Silver thought, narrowing his eyes.

He summoned his lightning chakra once again, his sword crackling with Chidori-style energy. In a flash, he surged forward, slicing through the air at unimaginable speed. The elite Jonin attempted to counter with his sand, but it was too late.

The Kusanagi sword cut through the sand defenses, piercing the elite Jonin's chest with a powerful surge of lightning. The enemy gasped as the electricity coursed through his body, incapacitating him instantly.

As the elite Jonin fell to the ground, Silver remained standing, his eyes cold and focused. The battlefield was littered with the bodies of the fallen Chunin, and the remaining Jonin hesitated, now recognizing the severity of their situation. But Silver wasn't about to let up. He turned back to his team.

"Hiroshi, Kaori! Clean up the rest!" Silver barked, not taking his eyes off the remaining enemies.

The remaining Jonin, realizing that they were at a serious disadvantage, began to retreat, their faces filled with both fear and anger. Silver, however, wasn't about to let them escape. He could feel the pressure rising in the air, his pulse quickening as he prepared to finish the job.

"You're not going anywhere," Silver muttered, his sword now glowing with energy.
