Scarlett's POV
Sipping the last drop of delicious, home-brewed coffee, I placed the mug down. Time passed by so quickly. We had just ten minutes for our pick-up to go to the ski resort.
Candice kept me company. She has been reading a magazine for the past five minutes. I was lost in my own world, enjoying the silence when I got a message from my daughter.
Shouldn't she be getting ready for school?
Why was she texting me at this hour?
[AR.ia: Momma? Come online please momma]
Her innocent text was requesting my presence.
[Scarl.Ettique: Yes my love. Tell me...]
[AR.ia: Dadda moved all my things from home. He said I didn't need to go back. He didn't allow grandma to talk to me in the morning too]
My heart sank.
What was he thinking?
