　　"So! Have you ever been skiing before, Ms Scarlett!?" Dylan asked over the noise of the ski lift and many excited tourists around us.


　　"I've never skied!" I yelled with enthusiasm. When I reached the top of the short hill, I watched Ryder and Dylan get into their positions.


　　"Is everything a competition between you two?" I asked innocently. But for some reason, Ryder and Dylan looked uncomfortable and looked at each other.


　　"Watch me go wee!" Dylan announced and went down the slope with grace! He took a swift, calculated turn around the fence that protected newbies like me from falling out of the slope!


　　"Whoa!" I exclaimed. I was being frozen alive to my bones!


　　"You said you haven't ever skied, right?" Ryder asked.


　　"Y-Yeah. And I'm pretty nervous." I replied honestly.
