Sebastian Miller's POV
I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the cuff of my shirt, my reflection staring back at me calmly, even if I wasn't really deep down.
My thoughts were scattered kind of, but tonight's dinner had to go exactly as planned.
I'd made sure everything was perfect—the food, the table, the atmosphere.
Nathan was already here, no doubt, and Evelyn would be seated too. I knew her well enough to anticipate her curiosity.
I knew Nathan knew more than anyone how much I loved punctuality so I knew he was already there alongside Evelyn.
The clock on the wall ticked, marking the moment I'd been waiting for.
Time to step in. With a deep breath, I straightened my posture and made my way out of the room.
Descending the stairs, I spotted them immediately. Nathan, sitting stiff and guarded, and Evelyn, fidgeting slightly in her seat.
They were seated right at where I wanted both of them to sit. It was a perfect arrangement.
