　　I am impatiently waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Kat to come down. Her sister, Marie, is waiting at my side. Marie is one of the first surprises that I have for Kat today. Her father, Jared, was unable or unwilling to come to the Luna Ceremony. So, I called Marie to see if she would stand in for him.


　　Marie is shifting awkwardly from foot to foot as we wait together. "Maybe I should go up and check on her," she finally says.


　　"No!" I shout. "She doesn't know you are here. I am sure she will be down soon."


　　Marie checks the delicate watch on her wrist and taps her foot. "The ceremony is supposed to start in ten minutes."


　　"Kat is never late," I remind her. "She will be down shortly."


　　"If you say so," Marie sighs, but she does not seem convinced.
