"Dad, you can't be serious!" I could feel the heaviness rise in my chest, as my father explains he has arranged for my hand in marriage.

　　It all started happening so fast. The voice in my head, the pain shooting through my body, the sexy mystery man ripping through the crowd to get to me, all happened so fast. 


　　Pain radiates through my body, and I can tell I am dripping wet from sweat. 


　　"What's happening?" I cry out. I am about to fall over from the pain, but a pair of strong arms wrap around me, and keep me from falling. I swear everywhere he touches, magical tingles erupt throughout my body.


　　"You are shifting, princess. Is this your first shift?" The stranger asks me. My body is in so much pain, it doesn't register to me that this stranger is my mate! Not a stranger, but my Goddess given mate. I nod my head to answer his question.


　　"We need to get outside to shift. If you are in direct moonlight for our first shift, the pain will ease." The voice in my head tells me.


　　The pain shooting through my bones is crippling, but I manage to grit out, "moonlight… outside."
