After getting out of the car, I scanned my surroundings.
This place was quite remote, the parking lot looked shabby, with scattered empty cans, plastic bags, and cigarette butts all over the ground. There were even some old tents set up, with ragged homeless people sleeping inside.
"Where exactly is he?"
I didn't believe Lucas would come to a place like this. The environment made me feel very uneasy.
Salvatore took a final drag from his cigarette, threw the butt away, and shoved his hands into his pockets, walking ahead as he spoke.
"Relax, you'll see him soon."
He entered a dilapidated elevator, but I stayed outside, unwilling to step in.
Salvatore glanced at me and casually leaned against the elevator wall, crossing his legs. He pressed the button to prevent the door from closing and said, "If you can't see him later, I'll use your head as a seat."
It was clear he knew exactly where Lucas was.
