CHAPTER 37

  Aubrey's POV

I walked up to the Fowler's family, a fake smile plastered on my face. "Welcome, everyone," I said, trying to sound sincere. "I'm so glad you could make it tonight."

Sophia glared at me, the look of hatred in her eyes.

I faked a smile on my face, trying to ignore her condescending look.

"I'm sure you're thrilled to see me here, Aubrey." She smiled.

I chuckled. "Thanks to my grandfather's kind heart who didn't look at the current state of your family. Keep clinging to the wealthy, Sophia. That's what you know to do best." I said, my voice low and condescending.

Sophia swallowed hard, her gaze faltering. "At least I have something you don't," she whispered, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I've got the perfect man by my side." She said, kissing Dario on the cheek.
