She must have been worried sick thinking that something could have happened to him while he was away.
Seeing this, Oliver felt guilty for having made his mother wait for him for so long.
"Sorry, Mom..." he apologized as he wrapped his arms around her body.
However, he didn't have time for comforting. So, instead of dwelling on it, he quickly explained everything that happened earlier and how he found a way out of here.
"It must have been hard on you. My brave, sweet boy," Mia spoke as she caressed the side of her son's face.
Even though Oliver managed to kill several goblins already, it was still a tough task to sneak around on his own inside a hostile environment without getting caught by any enemies.
"It wasn't hard but exhausting," Oliver said with a sigh while hugging his mother closer against him. "Anyway, you should put these on, Mom. I found some clothes for you to wear. Also, there might be a little problem. I don't think it'll be easy to bring you out of here," Oliver stated and handed the outfit over to his mother.
Mia nodded at this and started putting on the clothes that Oliver brought for her. After she finished dressing up, she asked, "What do you mean?"
"Well, unlike your healing ability, my skill won't work on you, so I don't think I'll be able to use it to hide you and bring out of here." Oliver answered before taking a glance at the dark tunnel. "But I have another idea..."
Mia listened attentively as her son explained to her how he would get them out. Although she didn't like this idea very much, she knew that they had no choice but to try it.
So she followed along with his plan without complaining much.
Soon enough, she found herself at the end of the tunnel, where there were many goblins gathered, including several larger ones. However, instead of being scared like before, she took a deep breath and prepared herself mentally for what was about to come next.
"Alright, Mom! I'll let the goblins discover me on purpose this time so that they will start chasing me, and then you can sneak past them towards that tunnel over there," Oliver instructed while pointing towards the tunnel on his left side. "Also, remember, no matter how dangerous it looks, no matter what happens, do not worry about me and continue forward without stopping."
Mia looked a bit nervous upon hearing her son's words, but she nodded her head in agreement regardless. "Fine! I understand. Please be careful, Oliver."
With that said, Oliver activated his concealment skill again. Then, he took out his new dagger from its sheath and held it tightly in his right hand as he made his way towards another tunnel entrance across from where Mia was standing.
It was the one where goblins were guarding.
After reaching it, he deactivated the skill and yelled out as loudly as possible for his voice to reach the goblins in the cavern, "Hey ugly pieces of shit, how dare your kind lay your filthy hands on my mom? I'll kill every single one of you monsters, no matter how many!"
Hearing the shout, a commotion occurred within the large group of goblins.
When they looked towards the source, they were surprised to see a single human killing their brethren by slicing their throats with his knife.
Angered by his actions, all the goblins began rushing towards him in a frenzied rage.
However, instead of backing away, Oliver killed another goblin guard standing near the first one with one quick movement of his blade.
"This dagger isn't bad. It cuts much easier than the old one. And the feeling of flesh and bone tearing when slicing them is satisfying," he muttered to himself, grinning like a madman. "Come, show me how hard you monsters can make me work to cut you down."
Within seconds, several goblins approached him, surrounding him from all directions.
It would have been a huge problem if it were not for his powers, which allowed him to teleport from one place to another.
His movements were so fast that the goblins had no chance of dodging his attacks as he sliced through their bodies.
Still, no matter how many he killed, they kept coming at him with no regard for their own lives whatsoever.
Eventually, Oliver got the attention of bigger goblins, and they let out a roar, "Kishaaaaah!" as they charged towards him.
Without hesitating any further, Oliver ran toward where he wanted to lead them. His plan was simple: let the goblins chase after him into the tunnel and lead them away from the exit path so Mia can pass by unnoticed.
Seeing their prey running away from them, the big goblins snarled in anger and chased after Oliver.
Meanwhile, Mia also noticed everything happening nearby as it progressed, and she couldn't help but be scared stiff after realizing just how dangerous their current situation was.
Even so, she forced herself to follow Oliver's instructions, and she cautiously moved towards the tunnel he pointed out earlier.
Luckily for her, nobody noticed her running towards it, and she managed to arrive there without having been spotted by anyone else.
She didn't stop once she was inside the tunnel either; she kept going forward as fast as she could without looking back.
Unfortunately, however, her luck soon ended. As she ran into a goblin along the way, who noticed her presence and started running towards her.
"Kishaaah! Kishaaaaah!" The goblin screamed as it charged towards Mia while wielding its club above its head.
"Ahh!!! What the...?! Why is goblin here?!" Mia shrieked while backing away from the creature.
