Chapter 29 The Summons and the Kage’s Watchful Eyes

The Summons and the Kage's Watchful Eyes

After days of training in Kaguya's world, Team 7 and the Kage were now back in Konoha. The village was buzzing with activity as Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi had successfully bonded with their new summons, each one unique and powerful in its own right.

Kaguya had allowed them to form a connection with these creatures through chakra trades, and now, Team 7 was ready to show off their new companions to the Kage. The council had gathered to watch the summoning beasts' abilities firsthand, and the air was thick with anticipation.

Naruto, standing confidently in front of the gathered Kage, smiled as he patted the head of his newest summon, the Baby Nine-Tails. Its fur was a deep shade of red with a golden tint at the tips of its tails. Despite its youth, there was an undeniable aura of immense power surrounding it, and its piercing eyes reflected a deep connection to Kaguya herself.

"Alright, everyone! Meet my new partner, the Nine-Tails!" Naruto said, grinning. "It's not like Kurama, but it's got potential, and it's a bit like a little student for me."

Kurama's voice echoed in Naruto's mind. Hey, kid, don't make it sound like I'm a teacher!

Next to Naruto stood Kakashi, who was proudly accompanied by his own summon, a baby gray wolf. Its fur was a smooth slate gray, and its eyes were bright and intelligent, seemingly already displaying a strategic nature that Kakashi would appreciate.

"I've got this little one here," Kakashi said, scratching the wolf behind its ears. "It's small, but it's quick and cunning. Should be useful for reconnaissance."

Sasuke, on the other hand, stood with a sense of quiet pride. His summon, the Cheetah, was sleek and fast, with a coat of golden fur covered in spots. Its eyes shone with an untamed spirit, and its body radiated speed and agility.

"I didn't think I'd get one of these," Sasuke said, watching as the cheetah playfully circled him. "It's incredibly fast and can move quicker than I can react, which could be useful for quick strikes." This work was created by shredder121

Sakura's summon, the Pink Lion, stood next to her. Its fur was a pale, almost pastel pink, and it exuded strength and regality, with a powerful presence that could be felt from across the room. Despite its beauty, there was no mistaking the beast's ferocity.

"This one is mine," Sakura said with a grin, placing a hand on the lion's back. "It's strong and protective, and it'll be great in combat."

The Kage—Tsunade, Mei, Gaara, and Onoki—watched with fascination as the Team 7 members showed off their new companions. They were particularly intrigued by the unique connection that Naruto and his comrades had with these summons, and it was clear that the beasts had potential far beyond what they had seen in other summonings.

Mei, the Mizukage, raised an eyebrow, her voice full of curiosity. "So, these summons are from Kaguya's domain, correct? Are they truly as powerful as they seem?"

Naruto nodded, his grin widening. "They are, and they're loyal to us, especially the Nine-Tails here. Kaguya's summons are born with great potential, and each one represents a different power. I've already traded chakra for this little guy, and it's connected to Kaguya's will."

Onoki, the Tsuchikage, scratched his chin thoughtfully. "I've never seen anything like this before. But you're telling me that you can keep these creatures loyal to you with chakra?"

Sasuke stepped forward, his arms crossed. "That's right. These summons will bond with us if we give them enough chakra. They'll grow stronger as we train them. But... that also means we'll need more chakra to continue forming these bonds."

Tsunade looked over at Mei and then back at Naruto. "So, you have the Nine-Tails, a cheetah, a wolf, and a lion. But what about the other summons? Are there more that we can obtain from Kaguya's world?"

Naruto exchanged a look with Kakashi, who raised an eyebrow. "We haven't asked Kaguya for more yet, but I think we can—if the conditions are right."

Mei leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "I'm interested in these beasts. The idea of trading chakra for such powerful allies... It's tempting. Could we make similar arrangements for the rest of the villages?"

Sakura spoke up, eager to defend their new allies. "The bonds are special. These summons are not just strong—they also share a deep connection to Kaguya's power. They're not like typical summons you may have encountered before. Their loyalty is tied to her, and by extension, to us."

Gaara, who had been quietly observing the Nine-Tails, nodded slowly. "I can see their strength. It's a dangerous game, but if we can secure these kinds of allies, it would give us an edge against the Otsutsuki."

"Well, I'm not going to stand in the way," Onoki said gruffly. "If there's an opportunity to trade chakra for something like this, it might be worth the cost."

As the Kage continued discussing among themselves, Naruto walked over to the Nine-Tails, crouching down to scratch behind its ears. The little creature purred in response, its tails flicking playfully.

"I can already tell you're gonna be a huge help," Naruto muttered, his voice full of affection. "We'll get stronger together, little guy."

Just as the conversation was about to turn back to potential trades, Black Zetsu appeared in the doorway of the room. "If you all wish to trade chakra for more of Kaguya's summons, you must be prepared. The creatures of this world are powerful, and their loyalty is as deep as the chakra bonds you form with them."

The Kage looked at each other, now more determined than ever to strengthen their forces. They had seen firsthand what these new beasts could do, and they knew that the Otsutsuki threat loomed large on the horizon. If the summons could help them, they would not hesitate to make the trade.

Tsunade stood up, nodding to Black Zetsu. "We'll need to discuss the specifics, but if we can get access to more, we'll need to move quickly. We'll prepare our villages for what's to come."

Naruto, still smiling at his new Nine-Tails, turned to his team. "We've got a lot of work to do, but this is just the beginning. We're gonna get stronger, and together, we'll face whatever comes next."

And so, Team 7, along with the Kage, began to prepare for the challenges ahead. With the strength of the summoned beasts at their side, they felt ready to take on the Otsutsuki and whatever other threats might arise.
