He watched as the lady before him had emptied more than five glasses filled with the strongest of alcoholic drinks the bar had, and he watched in amazement as the lady still maintained the consciousness of the environment she was present in.
He had only gulped down three, but had the knowledge of how his entire body system worked. Thus, his self-control had limited him from taking another which could make him drowsy and dizzy.
"You're a strong lady" he said to her with a smile on his face. He leaned against the counter, in a manner which caused his body to be carved in such a way that drew the attention of the young lady, causing her to ogle at the sight of his skin, and harboured even wilder thoughts than when she first sighted him.
"And why is that?" She asked him. She maintained a composure that countered the perception of people about her, and wore a confident personality that drew the interest of the man into driving the conversation deeper than expected.
"You see, I noticed you from back there." he said as he leaned forward towards her, whispering the words as he pointed his fingers towards where she was seated before he continued.
"The first time you took a shot, it seemed like you were struggling to maintain composure, and right here you are, taking multiple shots like a pro" he said to her with a slight chuckle, showing off his dentition with his canines which were slightly longer than usual
"Tell me, how do you do it?" He asked her.
"Seems like you really pay attention to your environment like you said." She chuckled without a clue of the right words to utter.
Inwardly, she only aimed at pleasing Zeph with a form of tough charisma, one that could cause her to be at a slightly same level with him.
Yet, if he was pleased with the outcome of how she presented herself before him, then it was certain that the feelings birthed by the smooth conversation could lead to something which she believed could last till the end of time.
"I can't seem to find your friend" he said again to her.
Elissa's eyes suddenly switched towards the direction where he pointed at. And true to his word, Martha was certainly gone from where she was seated. Her heart throbbed against her chest, causing her to have this slight fear of loneliness which was expressed in the way sweat drops were beaded on her forehead.
As she looked with the questions popping in her thoughts, she could feel a smooth skin being rubbed against hers, around her chin region, and a slight and slow pull towards another angle where her eyes were locked with his.
"Do you fear me?" He asked her. He looked at every feature of her face, starting from her eyes, to her forehead, to her lips which seemed soft and succulent for a reason, and back again to her eyes.
"No!" She responded hesitantly, shaking her head in negation and wearing a plastic smile on her face. As soon as she uttered those words, there was a slow music which played in the club, something that caused him to immediately look upwards with a wider smile on his face.
"A soothing song, specially orchestrated for this moment" he said as he released her chin, giving her the opportunity to heave off the heavy breath and the tension before she leaned backwards.
He stood from his seat, and walked a few inches away from her before he turned and bowed slightly with his hands stretched out.
"May I have this dance?" He asked with a smile on his face.
"Hmmm. A gentleman. I like it." She said as she placed her hand in his.
He pulled her closer to where he stood, wrapping his arms around her waist while her hands were thrown over his shoulders. He locked eyes with her, staring deep into her eyes as they both moved in accordance to the rhythm of the song.
"It's quite a slow song for a club" she spoke out. Initially it was wild, having to see people dance in the most ferocious manner as their sexual intentions were unleashed on the dance floor, and here she stood with the man whom she had double thoughts over.
"Well, I kind of pulled a few strings to get us to this level, to get us to this moment." he said to her.
"Your intentions were already known from the start then" She replied
"I've seen beauty many times, but for you, my dearest, you have the rarest heart I've ever felt. And with the innocence in your eyes, I'm compelled to say that I'm being swept over by even the sound of your sweetened chuckle in my ears" he muttered with a low tone, watching as the lady smiled from ear to ear.
"You have your ways with words." She answered after a few seconds of deep thoughts. She was caught off guard with his words, staring at the other without having the right words to front to the affirmation of this sudden infatuation.
At first, she believed that all the things she heard were just her imagination which played with her, but from the feel of his skin against hers, it was evident that they were the reality, and she was only grateful for what had occurred at the start of her adulthood.
"Only for the ones who have won my heart" he responded to her.
They stood together silently, staring into each other's eyes and with hearts open, dancing slowly to the music. She felt a calm feeling sweeping through her, like goosebumps which filled her skin, one which she could call love.
As long as the night went, her eyes were fixed on him, and his were fixed on hers. There were no distractions, no words uttered between them, only a feeling which both could understand, proven by the way Zeph pulled closer toward her and locked with her.
