She Escaped

While Ayra was having the time of her life and at the mercy of the moon goddess, the South Moon Pack had organized a search army for her, and Alpha Zynth, who happened to be undergoing the Alpha in training program, was given his first task.

Return Ayra to the pack for us to hide her so that she does not unleash the doom that is bound to be made possible by her and only her.

Only Ayra could wreak havoc on the entire kingdom. Only one girl could destroy the world and nobody else.

Dane Augustus, an elder in the South Moon Pack, and the leader of the warriors, knew in detail what the tale of doom was about, and that was the reason he was the most concerned about it, more than anyone else. In fact, everyone acted afraid because of the way Dane Augustus was taking the case with Ayra, but they were not wrong to be that afraid because the tale was true, and Dane Augustus knew.

Given that Alpha Zynth was Ayra's closest friend while she was around, he could pick her scent faster, and so he was allowed to lead the army as they began a thorough search for Ayra.

At the Dragon KIngdom, a rather confused King Devon asks his guard, Lambert, to go and bring Ayra to him.

''My King? Do you really want to indulge a stray girl at your convenience? I thought...''

''Yes, Lambert. Yes, I will condone her at my convenience. Bring her to me. She's my mate and I deserve to at least get to know her.'' King Devon was stoic and would not listen to anything that Lambert had to say again.

Lambert simply bowed and was on his way to carry out the king's orders when he saw one of his subordinates running towards him.

''Major Lambert! Major Lambert, something has gone wrong!'' The man said.

Lambert looked at the man skeptically, telling him with his eyes to speak about what had gone wrong.

''It's the prisoner. The stray girl from earlier today. She has escaped.'' The man reported, breathing heavily after running for a long time.

Lambert's eyes shone in bewilderment as he left the man who had reported to him and started running towards the dungeon.

How could she have escaped? He had her put in the farthest cell in the dungeon surely, so how on Earth could she escape the number of wardens that guarded that place?

No matter how fast Lambert ran towards the dungeon, he was not going to bring back Ayra, who had already been captured by vampires. By the time he arrived at her cell, he saw that the door was ajar, and a key, which was obviously one that was traced out of an original, was stuck in the keyhole.

Lambert bowed his head in dismay and shook it. He knew that there was trouble. Doom indeed! Chaos was being unleashed everywhere that Ayra went to, and impending doom started to loom immediately.

Lambert could feel that doom effect for sure, as he wondered what the Dragon King would do when he found out that his mate had escaped from him.

''Find out how she got out and throw whoever was on duty inside this very cell.'' Lambert said as he took a brisk walk out of the dungeon.

Fear had taken over Lambert because he knew that King Devon could not wait to have this girl in front of him. How would he break the news to King Devon now? Should he hold on and ask others to go and get Ayra back?

''She must have not gone far. I would ask them to get her.'' Lambert decided on what to do and sent word out that Ayra should be looked for and brought back.

But how late could it be for him? Ayra had found her way into the den of vampires.

King Devon waited for Lambert and Ayra for ten minutes, and then it turned to thirty minutes. One hour later, King Devon had still not seen Lambert, and he sensed that something had gone wrong.

The next thing that happened was that King Devon started to head towards the dungeon by himself.

The strangest thing for anyone to see in the Dragon Kingdom was for anyone who lived in the King's Court to be found in such a place as the dungeon.

The differences between both places were distinct.

Word soon got to the king's guard that King Devon was seen going to the dungeon.

''What? Did you try to stop him?'' An extremely frightened Lambert asked the man who came to deliver the message to him.

''Stop the King? Only you are capable of that, Major Lambert.'' The man looked at Lambert as if Lambert was out of his mind.

How dare he suggest that he stopped the king?

Before the man even finished talking, Lambert had disappeared from his sight and was headed towards the dungeon.

He sped past everyone who tried to stop him to say a word to him, as all he could think about was the fact that King Devon was going to enter that filthy dungeon just because of this stray girl.

''My King.'' Lamber heaved a sigh of relief when he saw King Devon a couple of feet away from the entrance of the dungeon.

''Lambert! Where have you been? Where's the girl? I asked you to bring her to me, yet here you are...'' King Devon was saying, but he stopped when he saw the worried look on Lambert's face.

Immediately, King Devon raised an eyebrow. For Lambert to react in that way, there was only one meaning for it. There had been an escape.

''Where's the girl, Lambert?'' King Devon's eyes narrowed as he demanded a response from his guard.

Lambert was silent at first, then he eventually spoke.

''The girl has escaped my king. By the time I got here to bring her to you, I saw that she was no longer in her cell.''
