Doom At The Dragon Kingdom

''My Lord Declan, please listen to me.'' Major Marlon was defiant.

''That girl has other mates that will come for her. That girl is the most dangerous thing alive, and I am talking about living and non living things.'' Major Marlon stared Lord Declan in the eye to make the man understand that the tale was deeper than he could ever imagine.

It was at this point that Major Marlon first understood that they were already halfway deep in the doom that the tale was about because, when he looked into the eyes of Lord Declan, what he saw shocked him.

Instead of Major Marlon reading soberness and some sort of dread from the Vampire King as a result of what he was revealing, Major Marlon saw Lord Declan's eyes flash with fury and death.

''What did I just hear you say? That the love of my life has mates? Mates as in schoolmates or what?'' Lord Declan refused to understand that his woman who had found her way all by herself to his arms belonged to someone else. She belonged to more than one person else apart from himself, Lord Declan.

Major Marlon smacked his head dramatically as he realized that the vampire king was not going to change his mind about the stray girl.

While this was going on, King Devon had gone into a fit of anger and lost control of himself. Shifting into his dragon, he opened fire on the dungeon, and with a loud shriek, he took off into the air, obviously out to look for his destined mate who had slipped out of his grip because of the foolishness of his servants.

His eyes, while he flew in the evening sky, were sharper than double-edged swords, and his nose tuned into its highest frequency, taking in every single scent that he could find to make his search for Ayra more tangible.

While King Devon flew in search of Ayra, he encountered something very rare. Dramatically, the Dragon King started to fall. Yes! He could no longer fly, and he started to descend from the sky, shifting back to his human form while at it.

King Devon dropped to the ground speedily, and with so much force that he winced in pain while he tried to get up.

''What on Earth?'' He wondered why he suddenly could not fly anymore.

King Devon tried to shift back to his dragon but nothing happened. He tried other forms of powers that he knew he possessed and could make use of, but none of them was responding to him.

The Dragon King looked closely at his mortal body, wondering if there was something wrong with him. However, while he was in that state, the scent of Ayra suddenly caught his attention.

King Devon's eyes widened in amusement as he considered what had just happened. Was Ayra there? Where was he? King Devon looked around him but could not see any signs that could tell him exactly where he was, as there was just a vast expanse of land and woods around him.

King Devon decided to follow Ayra's scent. Up until that point, he still did not know where he was, and why his powers were not working anymore, but a determined King Devon would not let that stop him. Of course not. The pull of the mate bond between him and Ayra alone was enough to keep him going.

In the Dragon Kingdom, chaos had already begun. According to the Dragon Siege, Dragons were not meant to kill Dragons. Even when a dragon had committed an offense punishable by death, the most that would happen within the kingdom was to exile the criminal to a dangerous place where the dragon would be killed by other factors.

It was strictly prohibited according to the law of the Dragon Siege that a dragon would directly kill a dragon.

Well, guess what happened?

When the angry Dragon King spat fire into the dungeon right before he took off to look for Ayra, everyone in the dungeon died, and the dungeon was burnt to the ground.

King Devon did not even know what he had done. While he was away looking for Ayra, a rebellion had started in the Dragon Kingdom, with the kingdom claiming that the King had gone mad.

The king's guard was the first person to be faced with this gross mishap that had taken place.

Lambert shook his head when he saw the unrest rising before his very eyes. There was no way he could control the dragons that had gone berserk. The law was the law, and nobody was above it, not even King Devon.

''We have to go after King Devon. More so, there is a lot to deal with beyond trying to get him back to the kingdom. We need to get a hold of that stray girl. She is more trouble than anyone can imagine.'' Lambert said dejectedly to one of the members of the King's Court.

''What do you think will happen after this? King Devon is doomed already, and that is for sure. Killing a fellow dragon, even a criminal one, is against the law of the siege. Yet, King Devon has killed so many dragons, and the majority of them are innocent ones who just happened to be caught up by his fury. What does he even want with that stray girl?'' Lambert's companion asked.

The fact that the man had not the slightest idea that Ayra and King Devon were mates, and they were at the beginning of the Tale Of Doom in the current sense, made it difficult for Lambert to give a reply.

''There's little to nothing that I can explain to you right now. All I can tell you is that we should go after the King right away if we are looking forward to managing this crisis.'' Lambert started to walk away from the man when he finished speaking.

''And leave the kingdom in this state?'' The man asked.

Lambert turned around to look at the man, then he looked at the entire kingdom that was now falling apart.

''The Kingdom is already in ruins.''
