At the same time that Ayra and the Vampire King, Lord Declan, got married, King Devon felt a pang of pain in his chest.
King Devon was quick to brush it off. He considered it as pain that resulted from fatigue after flying for a long distance and suddenly falling from the sky. Little did King Devon know that the pain he felt was a result of Ayra getting married to the Vampire King, Lord Declan.
King Devon entered the Vampire Kingdom and started to walk towards Ayra's scent.
While Lord Declan was at his wedding reception, having a blast, he soon felt the presence of someone who was not a vampire. Lord Declan could not mistake the scent of his kind for another, so he knew that an intruder had entered the Kingdom.
Lord Declan's mind soon went to the story that Major Marlon told him. The stray girl has other mates who would look for her desperately. Maybe one of them had dated to enter his territory, looking for their so called mate.
"I'll be just a second." Lord Declan said to his comrades around who had attended the wedding and left to get some privacy.
Lord Declan entered his chamber, the inner one where he got to transcend into various realms, and there, he sent his essence on its way to stop the intruder, leaving his body right there in his inner chamber.
"Who's there?" King Devon sensed a presence and asked.
Looking around him, King Devon could swear that he was the only one in the woods, so what was dealing with that heavy aura he suddenly felt?
The presence in the woods continued to torment King Devon until the supposed intruder eventually revealed himself.
Lord Declan stood out in his human form, glaring at King Devon intensely.
"Who the hell are you?" King Devon asked.
Lord Declan raised an eyebrow.
"Who the hell am I? You're in my territory, I should ask who the hell you are."
King Devon looked around him, trying to decipher the territory that this intruder was speaking about.
"What territory could this be?" He asked.
Lord Declan chuckled lightly.
"Ever heard of vampires?"
The ears of the Dragon King propped up when he heard that he was in vampire territory.
That was dangerous territory, and he could not deceive himself about that fact.
If not for the fact he could perceive Ayra's scent heavily there, he would have walked past that axis.
Well, vampire territory or not, he had arrived there, and he was not going to leave without Ayra.
"Very well then, I guess you are a vampire. Mr. Vampire, I am looking for a friend of mine. She must have stumbled into your territory because I can perceive her scent heavily here. If only I could get a hold of her and take her back home, I would leave as quietly as I have come. You won't even hear from me anymore." King Devon went straight to the point, completely shutting down any sense of importance that the vampire king in front of him had attached to himself.
''There is no girl here. You can leave now.'' Lord Declan did not have time to debate with King Devon even if he knew that King Devon was talking about none other than Ayra.
King Devon walked forward to meet the Vampire King on a closer scale, and he squared him up.
''Why do I smell her scent here, as a matter of fact...'' King Devon continued, sniffing the body of the Vampire King.
''Who are you?'' King Devon asked with suspicion.
''Declan. My name is Declan, and I'm the Vampire King.'' Lord Declan decided to be as casual as King Devon had suggested he be.
''Declan. The Lord Declan that everyone knows about?'' King Devon could not deny that he knew about the House Of Declan. They were the Vampire Royalty that traveled the underworld with a tale about each descendant. The present Lord Declan was the Sixth descendant of the Declan family, and he was 3000 years old.
''Yes, I am Lord Declan the 6th.'' Lord Declan was still so casual with King Devon, King Devon found it surprising that the Vampire King could be so humble at such a point.
Everyone knew that Vampires were very proud creatures, and that was because of their ability to live forever as long as they did not get killed by a special dagger, or the sun did not disintegrate them to pieces.
King Devon knew that it was not going to be easy getting passed Lord Declan in that case. He knew that it was going to be possible.
''Okay then. Luckily, we are of the same status. I am King Devon, Ruler Of The Dragons.'' King Devon introduced himself.
Lord Declan raised an eyebrow.
''You are the King.'' He could not believe it. A King came to the Vampire Kingdom without a single escort.
''Yes. I know what you are thinking. How can a king go all this way by himself? Well, if not that my mate escaped... No. She did not escape; I beg your pardon. She had just lost her way and ended up here, so I came to look for her as I had already sent my men on another task. She disappeared suddenly. I had to run after her. I will just take her and then leave,' King Devon said.
''There's no girl here for you, Devon. There is no girl that claims to have come from the Dragon Kingdom.'' Lord Declan was dismissive.
''Yes, that's because she is a werewolf and not a dragon, but she belongs to me. I had her first.'' King Devon was becoming upset as he spoke to Lord Declan whom he noticed was not ready to cooperate with him and release Ayra to him.
''Get out of my kingdom before I get nasty with you.'' Lord Declan suddenly got rid of any form of softness and gave King Devon a firm response.
