The FLAMES Game

Hi, just a quick note muna. To fully understand the nature of the plot here's how the system of the case commonly works:

1. Arrest: Can be done if the accused is caught in the act (in flagrante delicto) or if there is arrest warrant issued by the court.

2. Police Station: For booking and processing.

3. Detention: After sa arrest, the accused may be detained in a police station or jail habang nag-aantay sa filing of charges in court. Mayroon ding temporary detainment para sa accused until they are formally charged in court, usually within a specified period (e.g., within 12 hours for light offenses, 18 hours for less grave offenses, and 36 hours for grave offenses).

4. Filing of Charges and Arraignment: Once the charges are filed, the accused will be brought before the court para sa arraignment, where they will be informed of the charges and asked to enter a plea (guilty or not guilty).

5. Bail: If the offense is bailable, the accused may post for bail po.

6. Trial Proper: The accused will then undergo trial, where the prosecution and defense present their evidence. The accused remains free on bail until the court issues a verdict, unless the court revokes bail for certain reasons.

7. Offer of Evidence: Both parties po ay magbibigay ng evidence, which the court court will admit or reject.

8. Memoranda: Both sides po ay magsu-sumite ng kanilang final arguments.

9. Judgment: Magde-decision ang korte based sa evidence na presented.

10. Possible Appeal: After sa hatol, maaaari pong mag-appeal ang isang party if dissatisfied po sila sa decision.
