The last time I went here, it was me and Alec trying to sneak in during Randalf’s first attempt to overthrow the Alpha King. Evander was careful though. He made sure I was safe by guarding the tunnel’s entrance first and then following me after a few minutes. He was already behind me when I was halfway through the narrowing channel of the palace’s underground sewer.


We had to duck our way until we reached that small entrance to the study area. Evander asked me to stop as he moved forward to check the situation around the room. He made a signal that he sensed two rogue sentinels outside, but the room was empty, so my husband ensured it was safe first before he signaled me again to follow him.
