THE ALPHA QUEEN'S RETURN

I sat in the car, parked right outside the school, watching the children play in the playground as I waited for them to be dismissed.


They were full of smiles and giggles as they ran around with the other children. Emily had been a little worried when we returned that they would have a hard time fitting in with the other children of the pack, but she had nothing to worry about.


A soft smile shone on my face as I watched them, a feeling of warmth and pride buzzing in my chest. I had held them in my arms when they were babies and I was around to see them growing.


The final bell for the day rang and they all ran back into the school building to get their bags as I stepped out of the car.


I stood at the entrance of the school waiting patiently with other parents as they picked up their kids.


I sighted them from afar, Tyler leading the pack as they ran out the entrance. Once they sighted me, their little faces broke out into wide smiles as they huddled towards me.
