As soon as Christian left the room to get food, the tension that had been building on my shoulders eased a little bit. My mother settled beside the bed, her expression lingering with satisfaction.


I had no choice but to tell her everything. I can't keep it a secret any longer, not now that I was pregnant and it wasn't Christian's.


“Lucy, I'm so happy for you because of this pregnancy, Christian would have no choice but to make you his Luna.” She beamed.


My expression immediately turned sour and she instantly noticed.


Her brows furrowed as she turned to me in confusion. “What's wrong, you should be happy. Your dream to marry Christian is finally coming true.”


“Yes, but I have a dark secret and if Christian finds out now, he would hate me forever,” I muttered, wrangling my hands with anxiety and fear.


My mother slid closer, her eyes scanning my turn expression.”What secrets are you hiding Lucy?.” She asked sternly.
