Chapter 3

I stared at Felicity, arm in arm with another man, both laughing and chatting.

The man even tenderly wiped her sweat, doting on her excessively.

This wasn't Soren!

I was dumbfounded.

Although the man's face resembled Soren's somewhat, he looked much more mature than Soren.

I turned to Mason in shock, and he looked just as confused: "He... why do I feel like I've seen him somewhere before?"

I pointed at the unfamiliar man in surprise and said, "That's Soren's brother, Damien."

Felicity was actually having an affair with Damien?

I looked at him in disbelief: "Are we mistaken?"

Mason seemed uncertain too.

Felicity and Damien's intimate gestures left me even more perplexed.

Now, I wasn't sure if Soren had really cheated.

After leaving the café, I rushed home.

As soon as I got home, I received a call from Soren.

"Darling, I left my documents in the study, I need them urgently. Could you bring them to me?"

I hesitated for a few seconds before finally agreeing.

"Okay."

I entered the study, pulled open the drawer, and took out the documents inside.

Suddenly, I froze.A box engraved with the TISSOT logo catches my eye.

Opening it, I find an expensive-looking watch inside.

I immediately recall Conrad mentioning exchanging watches with Soren.

They had even talked about swapping back their original timepieces that day.

Could we all have been mistaken?

With growing doubts in my mind, I close the lid and leave the study with the documents in hand.

After waiting in Soren's office for a while, Conrad appears.

He casually chats with me: "Sis, you remember that thing about me swapping watches with Kaiser a week ago, right?"

"Yes, I do."

"I wasn't paying attention that day and gave him my own watch. He told me later, so I bought him a new one."

Conrad's words match up with the watch I found, but I still can't make sense of it.

Conrad then asks: "Hasn't Kaiser said anything to you?"

I shake my head: "No, he hasn't."

Then, half-jokingly, I say: "He's not having an affair, is he?"

Conrad, being Soren's brother, naturally wouldn't say such things against him to me.

Conrad's expression changes momentarily, then quickly returns to normal: "Kaiser isn't that kind of person. Don't go making wild guesses, sis. Just ask him directly."It wasn't long before Soren arrived, and I went home with him.

On the way, he kept asking what I wanted to eat, saying he'd cook dinner himself tonight.

To be honest, I didn't have much of an appetite, but I didn't want to disappoint him either.

I turned to him with a sweet smile. "Anything is fine. I love everything you make."

Soren chuckled, ruffling my hair. "Then I'll whip up a few dishes."

His affection made me doubt again.

Did he really cheat on me?

On the way to the appointment, I suddenly remembered my sister-in-law saying she had already arranged to meet Felicity.

I didn't tell Soren, planning to secretly meet Felicity myself.

Only by catching them unaware could I see their true reactions.

Just as I pulled out of the garage, I realized the car was out of gas.

So I switched to another car that Soren rarely drove.

As soon as I left the garage, I saw Felicity standing by the road waiting for me.

Felicity was quite outgoing. When she saw me come out, she waved at me.

"Sis, are you going out to eat? Can you give me a ride?"

I hesitated for a moment, then agreed.

Felicity got in the car, and a sickly sweet perfume instantly filled the entire cabin. The scent hit me, triggering my asthma. I immediately felt uncomfortable and quickly rolled down the car window.

Felicity was startled by this. "Sis, you have asthma? I'm so sorry, I had no idea."

"It's fine," I said.

I waved my hand, gesturing for her to fasten her seatbelt.

"Where are you headed, sis?" Felicity asked again.

Not wanting to elaborate, I replied vaguely, "I have an appointment."

Felicity responded with an "Oh" and fell silent.

She casually opened the glove compartment, took out a piece of gum and popped it in her mouth, then tossed the wrapper back into the compartment.

Next, she pulled out a mirror to touch up her makeup and ran her fingers through her hair.

Her actions were so casual, as if this car belonged to her.

My gaze fell on a pair of earrings in the glove compartment.

Those earrings weren't mine; I never wear such flashy accessories.

Felicity seemed to notice and put the earrings on.

I was shocked. How could Felicity...

At that moment, Felicity turned to me with a coy smile. "Sis, your earrings are so pretty."
