Chapter 107

The number of Roger's troop seemed limitless and no matter how many we killed, it seemed futile. For every hundred that was killed, two hundred appeared. All the while the horizon continued to flood with them, row after row, division after division, crammed up like a million worker ants. They were able to stop the fire, they pushed off the flaming soldiers away an took up new positions. The death of several thousands of their men didn't even put a dent on their forces.

Yet at our side, every death made an impact, though we didn't have many. That kept my hope alive. We were already far away from the hill where the war started. Our army was still very much in the spirit. I was proud, they had sustained injuries but that didn't stop them. The key was just the best. It was killing four men at a time. I swinged it around while moving and ducking at the same time. At the corner of my eye, I heard a scream. I had less time to linger on that sight because I was being attacked from every angle. I just prayed.

Sylvia got stabbed in the chest by a demon, Emiliar who has been keeping an eye on her stabbed her attacker from behind. She rushed to help Sylvia out of the thick battle. She carried her, blood gushing out from her heart. Emiliar fought with Sylvia on her shoulder till they found a safe place to stay. Sylvia has become pale white, eye closed, welcoming her death. Emiliar was troubled, she tried hard not to cry.

"Sylvia, your wounds should close up!"She shook her, trying to wake her but Sylvia didn't respond. She had to use her powers.

"Sylvia! You won't die okay. Just stay still."She looked around, to see if there was any attacker around. She sighed, seeing that everyone was focused on the fight. She placed her hands on Sylvia's chest and summoned her powers.

"Sylvia, it's not your time yet okay. I'll do all I can."

The fight thickened, I could see nothing but blood everywhere and I feared that our army would be getting tired. A part of me said that I needed to do something. I can't just stay here and fight, leaving my army to die. Roger's Army is unending, we can't get to the castle on time by fighting. I could see Alistair fight from afar. She was still very much in the spirit but I worried that I could not see the others. Suddenly I saw a flick of light at the far end where she was fighting. Someone just threw a cannon ball towards Alistair's head. She had her helmet on but I knew what that ball could do. Instinctively, I ran towards her. I got there in time, threw my weight on Alistair causing her to fall low. The cannon ball flew over our heads and hit another demon. Alistair saw this and gave me a quick kiss. We go back into the war mood. We were fighting side by side for the first time. I also had the chance to speak to her.

"Listair, we need to do something about this fight. It's not ending."

"I was thinking too."She was quiet for a while, swinging, ducking, punching in every direction.

"Katrienair, come over. I have a plan. Hold my hands, now!"She yelled. I held her hands and soon we were up in the sky.

"Katrienair, we are going to use both powers to do this. Look down, our soldiers are getting tired."She stretched forth her hand, a couch appeared on it. She spoke in strange languages in it. The language only understand by the witched. It meant, ""retreat, watch out."

"Be ready Katrienair. We're starting with rain of fire."

I felt her energy course through me. I barely had control of myself. We were moving in the air. I could see Roger's Army now focusing on us, their weapons didn't get anywhere close to them.

Screams and cries woke me up from my trance. I looked over and saw fire fall from the sky. All over Roger's Armys head. Even further into the streets of the northern province. I could see the stone walls of the demons fall. We have free entry now.

"Oh my God Alistair!"

"Focus Katrienair, none of our soldiers must go into it."

She was speaking into the couch , I could see our soldiers find safety I the places Alistair left for them. We flew over the northern province, hand held, floating in air without wings. For every place that we passed, fire fell from the sky and cleared every being on the surface beneath.

Sylvia blinked her eyes as life came back into her. Emiliar sighed.

"Sylvia!"She embraced her. Sylvia was still in a daze but she hugged her more tightly. She has her memory back, Israel made her. And all her brain told her at this moment is that she was with her blood. She was with her lost daughter. She was distracted by the sight afar, the rain of fire caused her to gasp aloud in shock.

"Daughter, look!"

Emiliar was shocked at the horrible sight beyond. Thousands of demons burning in flames. She helped Sylvia up and joined the other soldiers. She saw Claire and the others at a corner, they had wary looks on their faces. Claire screamed on seeing her.

"Emiliar! We were so worried"She jumped down from her horse and embraced her. She helped them to their horses. Emiliar was glad to see the group, hale and hearty. Israel took Sylvia from her.

"She got injured. It's closed up now. Might need some rest though."

She noticed Sylvia wasn't letting go of her hands. Emiliar embraced her again and kissed her.

"I miss you Sylvia. I know Katrienair would be glad to see you." She then remembered Katrienair. She walked around to search for her but didn't find her.

"What are you guys all doing here? Has the war ended so soon? Where's Katrienair?!"

"Get on your horse Emiliar. Stop walking around. It's risky!" Julian spoke. Emiliar's jaw dropped. She saw Ethan by Julian's side and Kabal. Her head bobbled with questions. She managed to get on her horse before asking any of them.

"Where Alistair? Where's katty?"

"They're up there Master, we await their command."Azazel was the one who answered. He held up his gaze to the sky.
