Chapter 2

So I finally got to the house and I could see my mom smiling and waiting to ask me how my day and school had been.

Mom: How was school honey?

Jackson: it was just as you wanted it to be

I'm sure you all reading would be extremely disappointed in me because I could not say anything, but check this out, I was not just going to let my entire fun get ruined just because I had a bad day because of some jerks, I allowed the image of that beauty to keep surfacing in my head.

Mom: That is so good Jackie; you don't know how happy I am to hear you say that about this new school.

Jackson: So mom, how was your interview?

Mom: well I wouldn't really say there was an interview. As I got there I saw no others sitting, so I just heard a call from the desk of the secretary at the reception and all I could remember her telling me was that I should prepare myself and have a good sleep, because I would start tomorrow.

Jackson: Wow, that is a great new mom, congratulations to you.

So as usual we had our dinner and everyone had gone off to bed but in my own case I just couldn't sleep because of my thoughts and the image of that damsel talking to me in reality.

Waking up the following morning, I just had this ill feeling in my stomach as I remembered that I would be going to school to meet those same brutes that had giving me hell on earth yesterday, but now I had so much more courage because I decided not to follow the school bus and just meet at the junction with Jethro and we both could stroll to school. After I was done with having my breakfast and I was ready to leave, I saw someone looking at me with some kind of freakishly weird smile.

Jackson: What'd I do?

Mom: nothing love, I'm just happy to see you happy once again.

Oh, that's just great if only she knew why I'm so giggly this morning.

Jackson: What can I say? You have to give everything a new trial .

Mom: thank you son, you don't really know how glad I am to hear that.

Jackson: alright bye mom, I love you

Mom: That is the kind of mood I love to see, but I wonder what really made him so happy?

Now at least I was early enough to give Jethro about a 4 minute space to meet me up at the right spot. Jethro pulled up and he noticed that I had worn the same smile and he was so curious to know more about my mystery happiness, but you know me, I like to do my stuff in styles as I spoke.

Jethro: Would you care to tell me what is making the young lad happy this blissful morning?

I would say one of the gifts and things I love so much about Jethro was the interchange in his accents, this was a skill that I was very much sure that no one in the school possessed.

Jackson: well I couldn't stop thinking about you know who

Jethro: I guess I have a dreamer in the house. So how do you intend on finding her, my dear brother?

Jackson: I believe in destiny, who knows she might just pop out of the thin air and give that her dazzling smile.

Jethro: Wow, I guess I really believe in your fairy tale ending right?

Jackson: yeah maybe I do.

Meanwhile, on the bus Everest spends his wasteful time wondering where I was.

Everest to everyone: hey has anyone seen the new kid?

For a moment there was a dead silence from everyone and even his own friend Narcho

Narcho: dude I think it would be best if you sat down and allowed the driver to focus on the road, when we get to school we can deal with that dork.

Everest: he honestly made me look stupid yesterday, by making Mr Miguel insult me.

Narcho: bro, no he didn't, you were the one who decided to come out and call him when Mr Miguel hadn't even asked you.

Everest: yeah yeah whatever

Back to my base, on the way to school with Jethro, I see the same old lady, standing by her garden and she looks straight into my eyes and then I get this sudden surge of Goosebumps right on my skin.

Jethro: Hey Jackie, are you alright?

Jackson: I'm fine, but could I ask you a question?

Jethro: yeah, feel free too

Jackson: Who is that lady?

Jethro: oh she! Well she is one of the mental ones according to what I heard from my parents, they said she lost her husband and kids in that house you see there. According to her she said that she slept and woke up to see each of them lifeless but when there was an autopsy, it showed no sign of forceful death or any poisoning of any sort.

Jackson: isn't that just weird? Anyway let's keep our spirits good because I sense that today is going to be a good day, don't you?

Jethro: Yeah, why wouldn't today be good when you keep imagining your mystery girl?

Jackson: alright that's fine, I sense someone is getting jealous of the fact that I have a crush and he doesn't

Jethro: who said I don't have a crush, lots more I have a girlfriend

Jackson:

So we kept walking down the road to school and discussed how we knew each other way back in time. Finally we got to our school and headed for class, I would say I was stunned to see the glory that passed me by. I gazed upon the girl I had seen while I walked back from school the previous day. It was like a thing of joy to behold her before my very eyes. I just didn't know what to say, the thought of telling Jethro that she was there had already clouded my mind but I thought to myself that I should keep things to myself.

Jackson: hey J, pssh pssh

Jethro: yeah J

Jackson: Can you see who is right before your very eyes?

Jethro: no way

Jackson: I told you that today would be a great day, didn't i?

Jethro: Yeah, I guess I have to say you're right.

Now usually my day wouldn't have gotten any worse if Sally never passed by.

Sally to Ammie: hello, my name is Sally and I will be your companion for the day as I give you a tour of the school and your class.

Ammie: Thank you, I appreciate that.

Did I forget to mention that the name of the new girl is Ammie? Well nevermind but I just don't like the idea that she is going to be friends with Sally because Sally never gave me a tour on my first day, oh yeah that's true we never really blended . I wished I could give Ammie a tour round the school, but I just remembered that I don't even know where exactly my class was, so anyway I'm grateful that I have Jethro.

Sally: you see those boys behind you; the school doesn't really need kids like those

Ammie: I don't think that is a nice way of addressing people

Sally: well sorry about that, but they don't blend into the group

Ammie: I don't like when people look down on others because of what they have.

Sally: Alright, fine.

So this is how Sally wanted to spoil my chances with the new girl, but I thank the stars that she isn't as cold hearted as Sally is. The next turn of events was so scary because I thought I was hallucinating but this was reality. A strange feeling filled me when another new student walked into the class. He had dark hair and a smooth skin, almost as if he was a cartoon character but the weirdest thing about him was that he kept looking at Jethro with an eye which told that something seemed strange.

Narcho: hey you, what is your name

Darren: My name is Darren, is there any problem?

Narcho: nope, no problem at all

Wait I wasn't blind or was it just me that noticed what had happened there between those two. I had to tap Jethro just to be sure I was not hallucinating.

Jackson: Jeth

Jethro: What's that?

Jackson: did you notice that Narcho got scared after asking what that kids name was

Jethro: bro, I saw that but I guess maybe Narcho has finally gotten to the point of having respect for others

Honestly, I never thought I would say this but I feel and suspect that there is something wrong with Jethro: how could he see something like a fright on the face of a bully after asking someone that is less his size a question. I made up my mind to meet Ammie after our periods were over to know more about her.

Now the bells had gone for breaks and that's when I saw Darren and Sally having an argument at the orchard behind the school's cafeteria.

Sally: Why did you come back, I thought you said you wouldn't?

Darren: Why does it bother you that I have returned back to this town anyway, besides my dad wants to run for the town mayor.

Sally: This isn't fair you know, my family has stood behind this town for a long time and all of a sudden you decide to show your face to change everything right?

Darren: You can say all you want but no one is changing a damn thing and to the next point, who is that kid that Jethro hangs around?

Sally: That is one of the new ones that came into the school yesterday, but I so hate that kid.

Darren: I think he is cool and plus more he might be the key to accomplishing something unique don't you think so?

Sally: yeah, you wish

Back in class….

Everest: hi

Ammie: hi

Everest: how are you seeing this school on your first day?

Ammie: it is so awesome and nice, plus the teachers are really cool and so are you

Everest: it would be really nice to get to know you.

Ammie: I would love that

Wait wait, this isn't happening is it? How can Ammie fall for this bully? This dude tried to make my first day in school a living hell but let's keep going

Narcho: ehem

Narcho: Hello dear, my name is Narcho and I'm sure that you are the famous Ammie right?

Ammie: yeah, that's me

Narcho: is it true that your Dad owns one of the most expensive 5 star hotels in New York?

Ammie: yes, that is true

Narcho: Then, my name is Narcho and this is my boy Everest. Hey Everest, could you excuse us, I need to talk to her

Now this is what can really be confusing because this guy practically threw his so-called best friend because of a girl. You can say he is one of the richest kids in our class and he makes Everest follow him like some kind of slave.

Everest: but

Narcho: what

Narcho: I said excuse us would you, beat it.

Everest: okay

Ammie: I thought he was your best friend

Narcho: he is but I needed some personal time with you and I don't need any disturbance.

Jethro walks in…

Jethro: What is popping in this class?

Narcho: hey twit, why don't you take your seat and stop being a pain in my butt

Jethro: sorry, I didn't know you were so busy

Narcho: You think this is funny to you right? Hey, Everest, let's show this dummy what we are made of.

Everest: sorry bro, not this time.

Narcho: come on bro, you know we need to put people like him in his shoes

Everest: no more, I am so damn tired of walking in your shadows like I have no mind of my own. Do you know what?

Narcho: what?

Everest: being your friend means that you get to push me and everyone around and also make me to be hated by our classmates because I stand as a bully, then I am done being friends with you.

Narcho: look who's talking, I never needed you, you are just some parasite that keeps feeding off me and I never tend to see what I benefit from you anyway.

Sally: enough you two

Narcho: stay out of this you fool

Damnnnn, that was so harsh

Sally: What did you just call me?

Narcho: yeah, you heard me, you are a fool, because if you weren't you could have accepted my offer to be the class captain when this term began yesterday but rather I see you following this new kid

Sally: yeah, you're right but at least I'm not like you who has no regards for his best friend.

Jethro: hey, fellas why don't we chill it out and calm down.

Sally & Narcho: would you just shut up

Jethro: sorry.

Principal T: What in the name of heavens is causing all the rackets here?

Narcho: nothing Sir, we were just having an academic argument.

Principal T: Is that so?

Sally: Yes, Sir, that is true.

Principal T: where is Mr. Darren?

Meanwhile, still at the back I was standing face to face with what I couldn't even explain I saw, but that was not Darren.

Darren: Come out Jackson, I know that you heard every single conversation that I had with Sally and it is a good thing I had to dismiss her early enough, wouldn't you say?

Jackson: yeah, but wait how did you know I was in there?

Darren, immediately gives a bone cracking sound like his bones were about to tear right out of his body and behold there was this hideous beast like face as that of a cat and a lion at the same time. I was shivering in my pants and did my possible best to stay strong.

Darren: I know every single thing about you Jackson and what you want so desperately but you have to trust me

Jackson: What are you?

Darren: I am what most people refer to as the Hell Bringer.

Jackson: I am so lost

Darren: I need you for a bigger plan and soon you will find out but in the meantime, let us head back to class

Jackson: What are your big plans for me?

Darren: Will you worry too much but one thing I would tell you is to be careful and watch your back, now let us head back to class.

Jackson: alright.

We walked into the class, just in time to find the Principal admonishing them. Now after experiencing all these from Darren I was just having the urge to change school but at the same time I noticed I wasn't feeling scared in a way and this was really shocking to me.

Principal T: hey there you two, I am sure that you won't join in on the same behavior as your classmates, would you?

Jackson: yes, Sir, we wouldn't

Darren: we won't

Principal T: Alright boys, I will take my leave now.

Darren: so I guess we would go home together if the case be

Jackson: I already have someone I go with

Darren: I could add to the team

Jackson: alright then

Narcho: I don't think you understand who Everest is

Ammie: I thought he was your best friend?

Narcho: no he isn't, he is just another loser who thinks anyone actually gives a damn about what he does

Ammie: So what exactly did you want to talk to me about?

Narcho: I would seriously love to be your friend, because you seem like a good person.

Ammie: Well anybody could be my friend; it all depends on your character.

Narcho: well then you are looking at the guy with a perfect character

Ammie: what a dummy

Now the school was over and I was so looking forward to going home with Darren, because from disliking him, I started seeing him as a cool dude. This is the part where I would say I completely blew it off; Ammie was going towards my direction and I just decided to pull my weights by going to meet her and that was when this happened.

Jackson: hey there

Ammie: oh hi there

Jackson: So I see you're actually going in my direction, mind if we walked together?

Ammie: I don't really think that is a good idea

Jackson: Why'd you say that?

Ammie: because of him

Damn, I saw an angry Narcho walking towards me yelling.

Narcho: hey weirdo, what do you think you are doing over here

Jackson: sorry about that but I am just talking to her

Narcho: Now listen to me, people like you shouldn't be seen anywhere close to people like us is that understood?

Now at this point I was extremely fed up and all I could think of doing is to reply to this kid.

Jackson: you actually think you are someone important right, but underneath you is just one scared and dumb kid who thinks that his parents have everything in the world and he needs no one

Narcho: what the hell did you just say

Oh my at this point I felt the energy I had leaving me and I was practically dumbfounded.

Jackson:

That's when my savior stepped in

Darren: I think you have had your own fill of bullying, you goat

Narcho: hey did you just call me a goat?

Darren: What are you going to do about it, GOAT?

Ammie: guys, could you just stop acting like babies for God sake
