Year 1775
In a land called west hill,a young lady stared at her reflection in the mirror.
She heaved a sigh while combing her blonde hair softly.
Her emerald eyes stared at the mirror, years had passed and della had grown fully.
Her features changed, she was tall slender with her breast bigger, she had an alluring look that made one mesmerized by her.
Opening the drawer, she brought out a portrait of her younger self and her mother.
"I miss you mama"she muttered.
Della despite being young when her mother had died, she still had memories of her.
Turning the portrait to see the writings her mama had left for her.
'I know you are too young to know this, but when you are older you will search for the stones,it in a necklace which will be your fate to protect,
I failed in protecting it till the end'
Della read these words everyday, she had kept the portrait a secret from the Harrisons and felt this was the answers to why her mother was killed.
So much she had learnt from the world and learnt to adapt to everyone.
Seeing as the mortals didn't accept her kind and yet accepted the night creatures who mingle amongst them.
"Della!"
She opened the door to find her sister standing outside with a frown on.
"What happened Beth?"she asked softly, her green eyes staring at the brown haired girl.
Elizabeth Harrison was her sister, only child of the Harrisons.
She was a beauty with brown long hair and dark brown eyes, she exude a sense of pride and arrogance which made her have an unlikeable presence but most men tend to like her for her flattering and beauty.
She stood wearing a purple gown and her brown hair left opened.
Compared to della, she wasn't delicate or beguiling and rather appeared sassy and pretentious.
"You promised to visit the tailor shop with me"she whined,
Della stunned at her outburst thinking it was something of much importance frowned,
"Are we leaving now?"she asked, her eyes moving forward before settling on the girl.
"Yes! It my first soirée,I will need to be the most beautiful and elegant so everyone would stare at just me,need not those fancy girls taking my spot"
Della sighed knowing how competitive her sister could be and she not participating in the event where ladies and gentlemen of high caliber come together to relax and show off their elegancy and splurge was better.
"Let me get my gloves then"della stated and turned around.
"Always wearing gloves"Beth murmured.
Della had always felt comfortable wearing gloves she didn't stay without them and wore gloves whenever she left the mansion, she did so to hide her powers and prevent any witch from identifying her,her gloves were magical and witches wouldn't know of her kind whenever she put them on.
Soon both girls left the mansion, their parents were absent from the house.
While in the carriage, both girls sat quietly with Beth more excited.
"I heard the hidden lord is going to be there"Beth stated,
"Hidden lord?"Della furrowed her brows,
"That a sobriquet he is known as,it the vampire lord of westhill the infamous lord who everyone wants to get close to,heard from the women that he is aloof and daring. He is dreaming and single, who wouldn't want him?"Beth ogled while grinning,
"A lord like that has many bloods on his hands Beth, you wouldn't want to get close to him"Della warned worried.
"You are always absent minded della,he would protect me and be my knight in shiny armor,my Romeo"she blushed thinking of someone she had never met.
"How are you so sure he isn't full of himself since he is known to be a very powerful vampire"Della rolled her eyes not interested in the infamous lord.
"Negativity isn't nice, you probably want to be with the servant boy I see you with all the time"Beth rolled her eyes back.
Della frowned and didn't respond to her,she knew her grown friendship with the servant boy Xavier would be noticed in the mansion but she didn't care as Xavier was a good friend and they had grown close.
Soon the carriage stopped and both girls stepped down before the hot sun of west hill burnt their skin.
"Didn't know it would be this hot"Beth complained with a subtle frown,
"Let go,mr sailor's shop is just around the corner"Della stated and watched Beth walk under the sun with pride and elegance while staring at the place with disgust because of the people who she always felt she was above.
Beth had lived a sheltered life and never had to work and she didn't bother associating herself with people she felt wasn't of her caliber, rather she saw them beneath her and stared at them with distaste.
Della sighed before going after her as the people around stared at them as they were dressed fancy.
Both girls entered the shop of mr sailor,a well known tailor who sewed clothes in high quality, only the rich could afford him.
"Good day mi ladies"the worker greeted them warmly,
"Where is mr sailor?"Beth asked ignoring her greetings.
The girl used to her and her demeanor didn't seem offended and rather smiled.
"He is absent today mi lady"the girl replied,
"And he thinks I would let you peasants attend to me?"she glared at the girl,
"Beth"della called,Beth was always like this to people and even with her but she wasn't always rude to her compared to how she was to people, she felt she had acknowledged the fact they were sisters now.
"You can come another time when he is here"the girl replied.
She was his only worker,mr sailor was a greedy man and despite being wealthy he decided to employ just one worker which was once the talks of the town.
Beth flared up hearing the girl's remarks,
She raised her hand and almost hit the girl when Della held her hand.
"Don't Beth"Della warned.
