Chapter 13: You, a Little Wizard, Dare to Covet the Inheritance?

Chapter 13: You, a Little Wizard, Dare to Covet the Inheritance?

"This is very important. It indicates how you will spend your future years at school. You will be in different houses and have other nice friends."

"The houses are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. After you get sorted into a house by the Sorting Hat, you must remember one thing."

Professor McGonagall's sharp eyes scanned all the little wizards present.

"You will be the pride of your house. Your words and deeds will determine whether your house can win the House Cup at the end of the school year."

Saying this, Professor McGonagall's eyes fell on Dylan.

Dylan immediately threw up a harmless, innocent smile.

A smile flickered in Professor McGonagall's eyes, but it was immediately withdrawn.

"The Sorting Ceremony is imminent and will be performed in front of all the school's students and teachers, so you can freshen yourselves up now."

Professor McGonagall wheeled about and left.

Not long after she had left, following a huddle of small wizards arguing noisily, there came a shriek through the throng: "Ah! There are ghosts!"

The crowd fell silent.

Dylan looked up and saw more than a dozen of the ghosts appear from the wall.

The ghosts were taken with these freshmen.

Several of them floated down and chatted with the little wizards on the outskirts.

But the addressed freshmen were trembling.

"I wonder if the Corpse Revitalization Curse serves as a deterrent to these ghosts?"

Just as he was thinking that, a ghost suddenly floated down in mid-air and sat beside him.

"Oh~ I feel a strange aura!"

The ghost approached Dylan's face, but when he came face to face with Dylan's eyes, his eyes widened as if he were frightened. He screamed and flew away immediately.

The ghosts surrounding him were shocked as well. After glancing at Dylan, they chased after the ghost.

Neville stood by Dylan, his eyes wide with shock at the ghost's scream.

He held his toad in one hand.

Dylan saw and found Trevor's eyes rolling and his toad legs thrashing about wildly.

".Neville, the ghosts have vanished."

"Are they gone? I don't, I don't dare to look."

Neville kept his eyes tightly shut.

Dylan shook his head.

Professor McGonagall returned into the room at this point.

"Okay, young wizards, let's begin this ceremony. Line up in one line and come on."

It was not until Professor McGonagall adopted her harsh tone of voice that Neville carefully narrowed his eyes.

But Dylan had already moved forward.

He too soon marched into the team.

At the lead of Professor McGonagall, the first-year freshmen marched into the hall.

All the already seated students and teachers gave them various critical glances.

Dylan didn't mind these people, but raised his head slightly.

He couldn't wait to look at the ceiling above.

"It's actually a starry sky. magic is actually very interesting."

The stars on the ceiling slowly changed, not at all similar to the artificial projection products of modern technology, but actually like a sky.

At this time, Dumbledore stood up and explained these freshmen about the limitations of Hogwarts.

For example, the students were not permitted to enter the Forbidden Forest.

Also, the school's forbidden zones.

When Dumbledore had concluded.

Professor McGonagall rustled through the parchment in her hand.

"Students whose names I call, please come forward. I will put the Sorting Hat on your head and then we shall see where you shall be going."

The first one to be called was Hermione.

Dylan glanced straight over, his eyes flickering slightly.

It had to be stated that Hermione was really pretty.

But he did not feel anything.

He only had three reasons in going to school.

First, to study magic.

Second, to study magic.

Third, to use magic so he could earn lots of money!

All the rest had to be put aside!

Even if Voldemort lost, he would use the Imperius Curse to drive him away!

Otherwise, how can he make money if Voldemort was allowed to disrupt the market condition?

The Death Eaters would also have to follow behind Voldemort and do some foolishness.

"I'm still going to employ some Death Eaters as my staff in the future."

As Dylan thought.

Suddenly, Professor McGonagall summoned his name.

"Dylan Hawkwood!"

Coming back to himself, Dylan moved forward.

He sat down in the chair, and Professor McGonagall put the Sorting Hat on his head.

"Oh! Good heavens, such a clever little wizard? You know a lot of spells!"

"Let me think, do you want to go to Ravenclaw?"

The Sorting Hat's voice rang out in Dylan's heart.

Dylan raised an eyebrow and replied in his heart: "If I'm going to Gryffindor, would you let me borrow the Sword of Gryffindindor stuck inside you? I've been studying how to cast magic to control weapons over the past few weeks."

"What?" the Sorting Hat shrieked theatrically, "Oh! How did you start learning such advanced magic now?"

"No, I mean, how did you hear about this sword? This is not something you, a little wizard, should know!"

"Maybe I tried to learn Legilimency."

"Good heavens. apologize for shouting again. This is the first time I've ever seen a little wizard as strange as you. Are you from a pure-blood wizard family?"

"No, no, you are obviously just an ordinary Muggle little wizard."

"Aww, sorry, little wizard, no matter how you know about the Sword of Gryffindor, I can't give it to you unless a Gryffindor can pull it out of my body."

"Ugh, I don't like this feeling, because it makes me feel like I'm being pushed around—do you know what it's like to have a stick stuck in your throat?"

"I don't." Dylan curled his lip, "But I know you're really verbose."

"Good heavens, do you know? Your mouth is too Slytherin! Do you want to go to Slytherin?"

The Sorting Hat roared.

"You possess a lot of magical study. The superior education there is perhaps for you."

"I loathe superior education."

"Oh, then Ravenclaw?" the Sorting Hat went on.

"Of course, I may also feel a very great bravery in your heart. You must have a very noble idea. Perhaps you can become a Gryffindor?"

"Do all four houses have inheritances?"

"You know again!"

"If so, then I would like to go to Ravenclaw."

Ravenclaw's inheritance should bring him more magical knowledge.

"Alright, then."

The Sorting Hat suddenly yelled loudly—

"Gryffindor!"

What?

"How dare you decide my house so lightly!"

"Good heavens, a first-year little wizard dares to covet the inheritances of the four houses. You're too presumptuous. You can only go to Gryffindor!"
