Synopsis

[WSA 2025]

The green light came without warning in 2040, covering Earth for 48 hours and forever changing humanity. A quarter of the population awakened with supernatural abilities.

75 years later, Leo Voss chases stories across the galaxy, exposing the corrupt Awakened elite while burying his own tragic past beneath.

His life takes a turn when an investigation puts powerful enemies on his trail. During an attack, a mysterious crystal shard pierces his skin, unleashing something ancient and terrifying within him. Shadows writhe beneath his flesh, whispering promises of power and destruction.

As Leo fights to control the darkness consuming him, he stumbles upon the horrifying truth behind "The Day Light Fell." His discovery makes him the most hunted man in the galaxy.

With GPA Special Ops hunting him, alien threats emerging from the void, and factions fighting to control him, Leo reluctantly becomes the center of a war spanning worlds. The shadows offer godlike power at an impossible price: his humanity.

Now a man who never wanted to be special holds the fate of Earth and its colonies in his trembling hands.

And the shadows beneath his skin are growing hungry…

I am keep up with it. Loved this books a lot. It is a different type, lots of mysteries, excitement, threats and darkness. It's a gem. Plus, the writing style is pretty amazing as it goes very sharply in every piece of words. Hope this one wins the contest. Keep up the good work.

What an absolute gem. Where Shadows Walk masterfully blends science fiction, low fantasy, and dark fantasy in a way that feels seamless and intentional. The worldbuilding is deep, the tone atmospheric, and the pacing keeps you hooked from scene to scene. I especially love how the story doesn't shy away from emotional complexity—there's a richness in the characters that makes them unforgettable. It’s rare to find a book that evolves across genres and still feels cohesive, but this one does it brilliantly. Roland_TN is building something truly special here, and I can't wait to see where the story goes next. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fantasy with depth and a touch of the unexpected.

The author is headed in the right direction, I like how he can take the main character to an unknown world but still pulls of proper worldbuilding of his original world. The characters are well designed(could use more background but still good) and I do love the authors writing style. Above all, this really is a wonderful book.

I like how it switches from scifi and low-fantasy to dark fantasy in order to build the plot. Although I do love the low fantasy part of the book and hope the author can continue developing it. Everything about the book is worthwhile and incredible. I love it
