White hair, hollow bones, a body better suited to a coffin than a blade. In a Empire where might rules and weakness dies young, I was nothing more than a mistake waiting to be buried.

When the solar eclipse devoured the sun, something inside me cracked. Not mercy. Not magic. Something older. Something monstrous. And as the shadows stretched across the land, so did my resolve.

I won’t beg to belong anymore. I’ll carve my place into the bones of the world, even if I have

to bleed for every inch.
