Chapter 90 THE CLAIMED CHILD!

LIORA'S POV

The sound of beeping was the first thing I heard when I regained consciousness. I blinked my eyes open, trying to make sense of the bright, sterile light above me. The scent of antiseptic filled the air, and it took a moment before I realized I was in a hospital bed.

I winced as I tried to sit up, my body aching all over. Memories of the party flooded back—the confrontation with Audrey, the fall, and Ronan’s panicked voice as he carried me.

Before I could gather my thoughts, the door to the hospital room creaked open, and my mother rushed in, followed closely by my father. Her face was pale, her eyes red as if she had been crying.

“Oh, Liora, thank God you’re awake!” she exclaimed, rushing to my side and enveloping me in a tight hug. “We were so worried about you!”

I tried to return the hug, but my arms felt weak. “I’m fine, Mom,” I murmured, though I wasn’t sure I believed it myself.
