When she arrived at the event later that evening, she was surprised to see how many people were there. It seemed that everyone in attendance had some connection to the Sinclair Group.

To her dismay, Nicholas was also present with his group, along with Oliver’s crew, Amor, and several of his old friends. Not wanting to draw attention to herself, Emily found a quiet corner to sit in, hoping to stay out of the way.

But Amor quickly noticed her sitting alone by a small table. With his usual warmth, he called out, “Emily, come join us over here!”

Emily intended to decline politely, but Amor walked over to her before she could protest. “It’s no fun sitting by yourself,” he said, smiling. “Come sit with us. We’ll keep you company.”

Under his insistence, Emily had no choice but to agree. She reluctantly followed him to sit with the group. Among the older crowd, she stood out immediately. Amor’s friends, all influential figures from prominent families, began asking questions about her.
