Chapter 5

The chair toppled over as she knocked it down, scraping harshly against the floor.

Faced with her hysterical behavior, I felt remarkably calm inside.

Ever since I decided to let go that day, many things ceased to matter.

Her anger, to me,

was nothing more than a passing cloud.

Seeing my silence, Serenity slammed a gold-embossed invitation in front of me.

"This is my wedding invitation."

"You'd better come to the wedding."

Looking at the invitation before me, I smiled faintly:

"Alright, I'll be there on time."

Hearing my response, Serenity's face grew even darker, like the dead of winter.

She stared at me for a long time, her lips curling into a cold sneer.

"Dashiell, your stubbornness hasn't changed one bit."

"I hope you won't regret your decision today in the future."

Because of this scene, the dinner ended early.

Just as I walked out of the restaurant, I saw Stella waiting outside.

She was dressed casually, sitting in the lobby's lounge area.
